Pickup String Screws

Hey Guys,

I attempted to adjust the individual String screws on each pup and find that they don't want to turn, maybe i am afraid to try hard, in fear that i might break them..

Should they be difficult to turn?

Thanks

Eric

Re: Pickup String Screws

It depends on what the pickup is potted with. Usually it's a combination of paraffin and beeswax, but some guys use epoxy or similar compounds to pot their pups. You should be able to break those screws loose, though. Try a little harder, but if it feels like the screw's gonna break, back off... LOL

Re: Pickup String Screws

As long as you are adjusting the screw up by turning counter clockwise. The snap should be fine.
