Anybody tried any Skatterbranes from kink?Just got my new ones today!Hope to get them in on Saturday!Will give a tone report!

I had a set of these. Very nice indeed. I probably should have given them a longer tryout period than I did.

The youtube clips say it all: probably the best PAF copies out there along with Tim's left out there.

I got my Skatterbranes in my 58 RI on Friday.They are everything I was looking for in a PAF.They have just the right amount of growl, and clean up nicely when you back off the volume,without sacrificing tone especially the bridge.Good clean distortion,if you know what I mean.You can hear each string.Great FAT tone.They got that good vintage 70's rock sound!Clean,not muddy.Neck has that smooth Allman Bros tone.I am not a tech head in any form or fashion,but I know what I like and I have this idea of tone in my head.Kinks Skatterbranes have what I wanted and I can in all honesty recommend them.If you are looking for balls to wall distortion or something really hot,these are not for you.For you vintage 70's rock Gods..these are the ONE! Thanks Kink for fast shipping and a quality product!! Billy PS I will be buying again!

I got a PS to go with my thread.I used a .015 Sprague vitamin Q in the neck and a .022 Vitamin Q on the bridge.They are definitely the best caps I have used.I love the tone.The ears tell the truth...thanks HG
