Re: ShedPickups

Nice Jerry. Those do sound real good. Tired of them yet?
J/K bro' I don't have no amp anyway. I'm going to borrow one of my friends Marshalls this week until I get my own. The Crate is sold and the Traynor is being spruced up for the eBay sale.

Hello Spence, well it seems that my boy when I recorded them thought he would have some fun at my expence, and when I told him to load them it seems that he was gonna have some fun and cut the speed on the clips, and compress the sounds and just mess with things without my knowing, I didnt listen to them till the next day as I went to bed, needless to say I was a little upset, he blamed his friend for the foolery. they both thought it was funny. So I told him to delete the shit. Damn man I'm sorry they did that. I guess 14 and 15 yr olds with computer knowledge like to play games. Anyways I'm gonna do some more tonite, and make sure of what happens. Sorry for the awfull sounding crap. I told them that it was not meant as fun and games. You guy's are way to nice tho, in the saying it sounds good. But hey it sounded like crap, lets call it like it was CRAP. Anyway's maybe he learned his lesson, I kinda even had a laff on it myself.
Maybe I really do suck, and just dont know it.

Jerry, I honestly though they sounded pretty damn good. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it.

Re: ShedPickups

Well, I could certainly hear a damned good thump coming from that amp.
Also, it was good to see you playing for a good length of time and getting into it.
As a point of interest, I spent three 10 hour days setting up some damned expensive gear to record samples and just hated every one of them. There was always some shit going on that shouldn't have been there.
It's pretty hard to record really good samples when you're not playing over a jam track, especially when, if you're like me, you suddenly forget what to play.
So, don't be hard on yourself. I'm looking forward to the next samples.

Re: ShedPickups

OK Spence heres some new ones, I figured out I just suck, even without others assistance. Enjoy, yeah its hard just sitting there trying to put some shit down without thinking of what to do. + My hand isnt doing me any favors. And I dunno but they sound alot better out of the cabinet than they do recorded onto this software. I think I'll get a hard disc recorder or something. I spent maybe a total of 30 seconds setting up. Honestly the amp does kick some serious ass, although you wouldnt know it on this software crap. Oh well enjoy, if I suck I suck, I still have fun playing.

They were tampered with by the boy's messin with the speed, making them drag. I kinda got a laff at them when I heard, I just heard too late............Like the next day. I typed in the message went to bed and told them to load them, hell I dunno how to even load the clips. I think they had fun.

Jeff that's just my modified JCM 900 50watt, best sounding amp I ever had. I think I got it early 90s dont really remember I bought it in a package deal, I had it modified and been in love ever since. I do need to have it cleaned or do it myself I'm just to lazy, shes starting to crackle some. I thought we were supposed to be hard on ourselves I really do know my limitations with my hand, its just tough to accept. I may even need another surgery soon, but I dont think I'll let it happen 5 is enuff. LOL, I do what I can anymore, thats all I can do. At least I still have a hand that most of it works

kinda thought all along that it should be presented that way, then maybe do the whole song at a later time. A clip should just be a snippet of the tone, no extra help or anything. But its really hard thinking what part to play and how to play it like one would, instead a exact copy. I think I'll do some more variances and hope people dont go Hey Man Zeppelin or whoever didnt do it that, because that wasnt my point. The clips are just to listen to the tone of the pup, not as a showcase for your talent. I'm learning right alongside everybody else as to what I'm trying to accomplish here, maybe I can figure it out. Imay alot of you guys input, and a certain amount of luck.
Thanks Flick brother for liking the idea.

Re: ShedPickups

JCM900 huh? I am borrowing a friend of mine's today until I get the funds together for my Reinhardt. It used to be mine but I sold it to him three years ago. It's a 1998 model, two 12's.
I like the no backing tone clips too. I don't know any covers so I'm not very good at that. I might give it a try later on when I get the amp.

Sounding good Jerry.

Re: ShedPickups

I got the backing tracks you sent me Jeff, but I'm too dumb to figure out how to transfer to the software. We have learned how to multitrack this stuff now some tho, so maybe I'll layer some guitar tracks together that should sound some better. At least we are learning how to use it somewhat better.

Jeff As for the cover clips, I just sit there till something pops in my head from days gone by and try and remember best I can, I dont figure many wanna hear original stuff, but then again maybe they do.

I got that borrowed Marshall JCM-900 today. It's modded with EL34's instead of 5881's I will do some playing tomorrow. I'm a little tired right now.

Cool Jeff, I just spent the evening with some long lost brothers who have redirected me back to my old roots, the things I used to do we will say, and that made me feel rather good. I'll be relearning some lost feel as we will be spending some time together again. I needed my MOJO back, and I actually think some is there again. Hope the JCM does you real good, LOL I need a combo like your getting, to me alot more versatile than the half stack.
Arthritis is really building up in my thumb and wrist area again hope I dont have to have it scraped and lasered anymore.

That's terrible about your wrist Jerry. It is good however to rekindle old friends and feelings. That's what gets you through the pain, huh?

Jeff its not so much the wrist, but from when I tore my left thumb off in the 80's, just been thru enuff surgeries already from it. I mean hell I only got 30% use of it anyways, but the joint (whats left anyways) is getting worse again as I age LOL. I can deal with the pain, just wish I didnt have too.

Thanx Bobbo, Spence does make one fine animal of a pup. And I appreciate everything he's done for me. A great guy.

The first clip Spence is an exerpt from a tune I wrote a few yrs back, although I havent done it in awhile, I dunno why it just hit me to do it the other nite.
I usually play it alot better, and it was just a tidbit of it anyways. LOL you would have to ask all the others about their copyright status.

I'll do some more of my own stuff shortly, and hopefully with better quality.
