Marshallhead MK II??????????????????

Anyone have a review of this one? I love the Wolfetone TimbreWolf and MH neck but I found the MH bridge too bright in my LP. Is the MKII a little cooler and not as bright? How does it work with high gain. We play everything from classic rock to metal.

I will say I love the 8.0k bridge pickup in my SG so I know lower resistance pickups can do it....but these feel hot regardless of the resistance.

THANKS!

Re: Marshallhead MK II??????????????????

I have both a standard Marshallhead and Marshallhead with a2 Mag. The Marshallhead with the a2 is not as bright as the a5.

As for the MKII, I don't know. Just shoot Wolfe an email. I'd personally just try an a2 magnet in the standard Marshallhead you have first.

I'd really like to try a timbrewolfe.

The Timbrewolf is great!

I am not a fan of AIIs in the bridge but am wondering if the MKII would be fatter sounding even for high gain since it is less compressed.

Yeah, these pickups look interesting. Anyone know what the resistances are?

Re: Marshallhead MK II??????????????????

I have one,I believe there about 8.7k resistance. Slightly degaussed A5 magnet. They work pretty good for hard rock, I don't use much high gain these days. Not as compressed or as bright on the top end as the regular MH wind.
