Any thoughts on this Pickup & Cap?
After just picking up my new LP Classic, I was inspired by what I read here to get the WCR Crossroads pups and also the Luxe Bumblebee Caps (1956-1960) .022/400.
Thoughts? This is a great community! |

both good choices I think.
But, if you just got the guitar, why don't you spend some time with it, try adjusting the pickups to where you like, etc. |

Great advice, thank you.
After reading of so many people trashing the stock pups on the classic, and my desire for a more vintage sound, I'm eager to jump the gun. But I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at how good the stock pups sound. They are aggressive but it seems a simple roll back on the volume softens them up just a bit and I'm getting really nice bluesy sounds from them (which is what I'm after). Thanks again! |

if you're after a more vintage tone, I'm a firm believer in good PIO caps. I haven't tried the Luxe, but I've read some great reviews on here.
Being basically a cheap old guitar player, I like to try the less expensive mods first
