Hello MLP members .. I have an exciting contest to tell you all about !! The MLP Tesla coil winders group is ready to announce it's first project !! The first team of pickup winders to be featured is Wolfetone pickups and WB pickups !! Two winders that by themselves make great pickups , But by combining the musical genius of these two gentlemen I would expect the tones to be nothing short of astonishing !! Since both winders are on the verge of stardom and neither may ever work together again !! These will probably be collectors items !!
The contest proceeds will go to benefit St Judes Childrens Research Hospital ! An amazing hospital with branches all over the USA that helps children with terminal diseases of all sorts , From cancer stricken children to those suffering with terminal blood disorders , etc !! No child that comes to St Judes in need of medical care is refused on the basis of financial inability ( In english ... No patients are turned away because they can't pay !! ) ... That's were this charity contest comes in , Because in order to provide that care to these families in need St Judes needs your donations !!!! Don't think of the money your sending as just entries into a contest to win great pickups , Think of it as money that will help children suffering everyday of their lives and may save some lives !!!!! At the bottom of this page there will be a list of links , In this list will be St Judes website , So you can see for yourselves the great things they do ! As well as the links to the websites of the pickup makers that will be producing excellent pickups for us to raffle off , Please take a look at the websites for both Wolfetone and WB !! Without their generosity and cooperation , None of this would be possible ! Thanks in advance guys !!
Now for how this Charity Contest works , For every $10.00 donation to St Judes Children Hospital , You will recieve 1 entry into the contest ! For every 5 entries made you will recieve 1 free !!! So a donation of $30 gets you 3 entries but a donation of $50 will get you 6 ! There will be 3 sets of pickups donated by Wolfetone & WB pickups .. So that's 3 chances to win !!! All donations should be by Check or Money Order and made payable to ... St Judes Childrens Hospital !! Please no cash !! The address to mail all donations / entries is listed below !!
Please remember that this money is going to help alot of people who really need the help !! So please give till it hurts !!!!!

Alright everybody who has ever wanted a set of WB or Wolfes Pickups break out your wallets and give till it hurts. Those children really need all the help they can get. It really hurts me when I think about an innocent child who has cancer or any other terminal illness. Children are so defenseless and they don't deserve to have their life taken away from them at such a young age. I have 4 kids myself and thank God everyday that they are healthy. I am going to Donate a few bucks myself but want nothing in return, the Pickups are for you guys with the chops. No lets get this thing started off in a good way, Lots of money for the kids

its not WB or Wolfes Pickups but customs sets made together by both winders.RARE one offs. Just think of Ford & Chevy working together to build a car

Research Focus

Research efforts are directed at understanding the molecular, genetic and chemical bases of catastrophic diseases in children, identifying cures for such diseases and promoting their prevention. Research is focused specifically on cancers, acquired and inherited immunodeficiencies and genetic disorders.

Current Research

The current basic and clinical research at St. Jude includes work in gene therapy, bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, the biochemistry of normal and cancerous cells, radiation treatment, blood diseases, resistance to therapy, viruses, hereditary diseases, influenza, pediatric AIDS and psychological effects of catastrophic illnesses.

St. Jude also conducts long-term biostatistical investigations on its patients and is the only pediatric research hospital supported by a National Cancer Institute cancer center support grant.

For Treatment of Rare Catastrophic Diseases
St. Jude was the first institution to cure sickle cell disease with a bone marrow transplant and has one of the largest pediatric sickle cell programs in the country.
St. Jude’s world-class bone marrow transplant center is the first to receive government approval for a unique transplant procedure that makes it possible for parents who are not exact matches to be donors for their children.
St. Jude was the first and only hospital to use a bone marrow transplant as treatment for the genetic disorder osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle bone disease.
St. Jude developed a therapy to successfully prevent and treat P. carinii pneumonia, saving the lives of countless patients who were cured of cancer but at high risk for this usually fatal pneumonia. The therapy has vital implications for the 80 percent of patients diagnosed with AIDS who develop P. carinii pneumonia.
