Pickup advice please

Hi guys
Just tried the Gibson 490T with a Alnico 5 mag in the brigde.
To loud and a little to bright and modern.
I had a Gibson Burstbucker Pro before the 490T but the BB lacked output and was a little to muddy so i guess i would wan´t something in between.
The Burstbucker Pro reads 7,96kOhm and the 490T 13,96kOhm still the kOhm reading doesnt say everything about ouput..

The pots are Gibson stock i´m getting RS Guitarworks kit this summer, not sure if i´m going for the modern or vintage kit.
And i´m also getting a Peavey Windsor Studio all valve amp.
For the moment i´m stuck with a multi effect pedal shit eqiupment but better than nothing at all...

So based on that please, post thousands of suggestions

Take care

Re: Pickup advice please

maybe try a seymour duncan alnico II pro. not sure what the output is, but to me, its great for classic stuff, but also modern.

+1

I was thinking alnico IIs also, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm no pickup expert and I'm not a fan of any of these pickups. I tend to use seymour duncan jazz in the neck and then a nice high output pickup in the bridge, but it appears that you don't want a terribly high output pickup.
