Re: WB Vintage Humbuckers ????

i won't have a tone report for about 3 months when my custom is finished but, i own the firewaters and vintage hots, they are to die for... with that said you can't go wrong with the nos vintage wire pups.... i have a demo of the firewaters if you want to hear it.... all i own are wb's... well except for a set of emg's that are for sale..... buy the wb you won't be disappointed... Will boggs will rewind them if they aren't to your likings.... call and talk to him, he is as good of a guy as there is...

Re: WB Vintage Humbuckers ????

+1 for Will! I have a set of Firewaters & now have a FW bridge & a Heaven neck going in my Custom24. Will is also in the process with a set of 3 mini-hums for one of my Firebirds & a set of 3 P90's for my Custom22 Soapbar.
Great pickups, great price & a great guy! What more do you want?

Sneak Peak....

In between the hell of kidney stones ( too much coffee ) and getting things ready for our move to the new shop. I have been building up some cool little toys to play with. Something with a "REAL" vintage tone is coming soon....

Of coarse. You will have a choice between brushed nickle or polished. Gold covers too. Depending on my time right now, I may be able to have some aged ones available for them.

I am pretty excited about these. Each pickup were slowly wound to insure minimal breakage. You really don't want to have a bad wind or break when your dealing with this vintage wire. Although, I did break some wire. That's the sample wire that each person will get along with the pickups. When a wire broke, I didn't solder another piece and continue winding. I scrapped the whole wind and started over. So there is no pieced wire at all on these...I did make up a few expletives while I worked on this project. LOL! It was extremely stressful to say the least.. But the cool part has been testing them out...

These will be very limited sets...

Only 50 sets wound to my Vintage Tuned Paf specs. And 50 sets wound to my Vintage Tuned Paf Hots specs. The first 35 sets will be sold with a special price and I will be shipping the pickups in a actual box that the wire came in. Check out my news section for more information. On Monday, the 28th. They will be officially announced on my web site with it's own page and more detailed photos & info. I am so excited to finally start shipping these out.

Will

Very Cool John!

Here's a couple of videos of my winder I used making the 67-07's... I was winding the "PROTOS" at the kitchen table on these 2 vids with some movie playing in the backgrown.LOL! These were recorded last October..

YouTube - Vintage Guitar Pickup Winder w/ NOS Vintage Wire

YouTube - Guitar Pickup Winder

I plan on putting some better ones I got later on youtube. But I used this winder for all my 67-07's.

Re: Sneak Peak....

I haven't heard these yet, but DO have his pickups in 2 of my guitars, with 2 more soon to be. They are nothing short of WONDERful...in other words, I wonder just how he nailed the tone I was looking for from my lame-ass descriptions! Amazing stuff buddy!

Here's my infomercial regarding the "Wife will kill me" syndrome. When ever I want to do something I want. I start about a week before I really want what I want.

I say, "Honey, when was the last time you had your nails done?" "I really love it when you get them done in the last color you did. And your toes too." She goes and get's them done.. Complement her immediately when she gets back with, "Wow, I'm so glad you got them done!" They look great! "Your my little rock star!" and kiss her..... Now you have to keep it up if the "want" you have is costly. So I keep it up with, Wow, your hair looks great, they did a wonderful job! You look Hot!" "Are those the new shoes?" "Fantastic!" "Babe, I love you!" "Let me cook dinner tonight" "Did you lose weight?" 'I'll change that diaper" Buy her flowers... etc,etc.....

By then, you may have enough to guilt her into accepting what you want. It may not work for everyone, so I can't guarantee this. But, I think it all depends on your delivery and sincerity..... Work on it before you try.

WD PU Holy Sh@t !!!WILL IS THE MAN!!!!

The WB PU's ARE FUCKIG FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will is the next King of Pick Up's......
Just amazing ..

Well There is some one that wants to say something ...

Folks may I introduce BrownEYE's

Folks,
Just got done testing the WB pickups and they were just phenomenal., The string to string clarity and definition was amazing. Very open and woody without any muddiness. Not too thin and not too thick... perfect medium to complement both the lightweight guitars and the heavier guitars.
I have them both and both command different pickups. These certainly are worth checking out. Will is a fantastic guy and am looking forward to the 67-07 Vintage Wire Spec.
Thanks Will,
Browneyes
