Re: Will Boggs Custom Pickups are Truly Custom

Hey guy's
I have now freed myself "and lost my @ss" of all of my investments in so called "boutique" pickups.
My last set of these I sold last week, my Gibson Custom Shop Les pauls have now been fitted WB's
A set of Firewaters
A set Of Honest to Goodness, Habenero's
A set of Honest to Goodness
And A SET OF Honest To Goodness Habenero's with Vintage wire, Oh my, I can hardly stand it.
I aint sure, which one to play, When I gig, I have it all covered, classic rock goes to the H&G's, Classic southern rock, Habenero's, "Dirty South" Southern rock and hot blues,Habenero's, 67/07's (check out some Gary Moore's close as you get album for some of this tone, and G&R / Revolver/Alice in Chains for the firewaters.
So this is all you need, add a 100 watt Plexi, 100 watt JMP, couple of vintage cabs , one with greenies, one with 30's and a RMC Wizard Wah and hang on.
The WB pickups ring, sing and all out spew IMO VINTAGE PAF tone, no hypes, gimmicks.
I have been around the block, if you want PAF tone this is it!!!!

My VTP's (Vintage Tuned Paf's) or even the H&G's (Honest To Goodness). The H & G's have a great open bluesy vibe to them with some Dirty South thrown in. But my standard VTP's are my best suggestion.

Feel free to call me if you like and we can go from there. Cool Avatar by the way!

Re: Will Boggs Custom Pickups are Truly Custom

I have ordered 2 set of Vintage Tuned PAF last thursday !!! All the review I have read so far are totally awesome !!! I can't wait to put thoses pickup in my R8 and R9 !!!

As soon as I will get them, and have them installed in both my R8 - R9, if I like them as much as I expect (and I'm 99% sure I will) I will order a few more set :

Single Coil S for my Strat
Single Coil T for my 62 reissue Telecaster
67-07 Vintage Tuned PAF for my SG Custom... oh, by the way, there's 3 pickup in the SG custom, which one is the best choice to put in the middle position, a neck or bridge pickup ?

It will probably cost me a big diamond ring too, otherwise my girlfriend will kill me...

Re: WD PU Holy Shit !!!WILL IS THE MAN!!!!

I have two sets of H&G Habenero's ,a vintage wire set and a standard wire set.
These H&G Habenero's have captured "THE TONE" above all else, I challenge anyone out there to a tone test and compare these (they do not need to be vintage wire to beat the rest!!!) to the rest of the competition, I dont care what they are called or who built them, Seth himself would tell you, and even WB's other pickups should beware, these H&G Hab's have (IMO better than any) captured the true meaning of PAF Dynamics, these pups put you in control, just play these pickups, I have never had the freedom to use volume and tone configuration at the guitar, select a pickup, select em both , roll up on the throttle, roll down, do what ever you want, you will be in control and pilot the guitar tone of your life!!!!. but beware, habeneros are additictive and may soon become a controlled substance, or
just a bad Jones ???????? These bitch's cut through the mix and when cranked will blow you away, be prepared (oops sorry, I got excited)

WB, we gotta talk , look what you have started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Dirty South Rises again?
Speakin of the Dirty South,Just saw ABB in Virginia Beach, I think Warren and Derrick both got some Hab's
Gotta go, the JMP is on standby

Re: WD PU Holy Shit !!!WILL IS THE MAN!!!!

WB, Honest to goodness, Habenero's, is the name of the pups I am talkin about (h&g Habeneros) I guess Will B is keeping these his secret, I heard he has his own set......, installed in his personal " go to ax"
So, you may have missed it but don't.

Maybe, WB will start to market these and putem on there web site, allthough, it would be a shame to unleash these on the public, cause they are habit forming and may have side affects such as, sell all your other junk, honey, i'll be late tonight, spend more money on GAS , second mortgage ah yeah TONE, these are the TONE THANG.

Err...what's an H&B Habeneros hehe? I just have the 67-07 VTPs. Are the Habeneros hotter or something? I'm not too interested in really hot pickups.

they are about the same output as the firewater and vtph.... not real high but just enough to make it stand up... i have the fires, vtph's, 67-07's and now the h&gs habs... the h&g's are my favorites.... not as high as seymour jbs... i think they stay around the 8-9 range that would make them more of a medium output....
