Thanks Bobby! I bought 5 copies this morning. Got a couple of interesting calls today because of the article. I am pretty excited to say the least.

Chris Cornell Band on The Tonight Show tonight!

Just got wind that the Chris Cornell Band will be on the Tonight Show tonight. It was a last minute pickup gig for them. Check it out and check out the tones of the WB 6707 pickups their using. They are in a couple of Les Pauls and Explorer's they're using..

Re: WB 67-07 VTP Soundclip

Okay.............tried another one last night.
I heard so many better takes on another forum---but I was having fun with these 67-07s!
I tried to keep the tone pretty dry, just a little room ambience.Excuse the clams!

Re: WB 67-07 VTP Soundclip

Steve. . . I just realized one of the reasons I like your playing so much. You have a great blend of blues and jazz influences in your style. I'm a Phil Keaggy fan from way back and he has a similar blend at times.

BTW, what you were doing from 1:30 to 1:41. . . smokin'!!

Terry.

Wow Terry,thanks.......this was a jam where the brain was working slow, but still it was faster than the fingers! I played better when I was warming up,should've pushed record then.
I did alot of cut and paste of sections.
Funny you mention Keaggy--he's always been one of my favorites.I actually got an opportunity to meet and jam with him at a concert (I was working sound, and out of the blue he called me up...some friends set me up!).

Yikes. . . it would have been really interesting then, to hear the "good" take!

I think I know what you mean. You hit some stuff in warm up that didn't land during the real take. Some of it might be subtle, but you know that it could have been better.

No pressure, eh!? That's a cool story, and a great shot! The closest I got was a handshake after a concert about 20 years ago. I haven't see Phil live for a long, long time.

I discovered Phil at a key time in my life. He filled a big musical void with honest music and excellence in execution. I can still remember him and Peter York playing acoustic together on the stage. Phil was soooo fast! Later he jumped onto the electric and did 20 or 30 minutes by himself. I had never seen anyone play electric as a solo instrument with no backing for that long, and have it be not only entertaining but also inspiring. Takes me back!

Well good, because you can never have enough coasters.

Honestly,I hope to soon be working on something tangible---the problem is,it will sound like what everyone else has already done better.

It's an interesting thing. Double black was all I ever considered before, and it's what I have in my LP. I have a new guitar and I'm thinking about either reverse zebra or double-creams for it. There's a lot more yellow in this top, which may have something to do with my shift. Brushed nickel looks very nice as well.

Someone reposted this older track on TFF,and I missed it the first time.I tried a little different setting on the J-Station this time---a bit cleaner.
