Question, 490r/498t

I got refered TO the experts here from the LP forum,

I just want to know if Gibsons 490r/498t are wax potted? I'm thinking about removing the covers and I want to know if I'm going to have to deal with wax. I understand about the older points on each side of the pickups, I'm just concerned about the wax part. Thanks in advance.

The 490r/498t should be wax potted.
The only Gibson pickups which didn´t used to be wax-potted are the Burstbucker 1 2 3.
But now a days every Gibson pickup should be wax-potted
