Re: pickup cover
57 Classics and Burstbuckers need a Gibson NECK cover. Some Gibson covers fit some Seymour Duncan pickups. It is all about polescrew spacing. The PAF style pickups have 1-15/16" (49.2mm NOT 50mm) spacing.
Gibson's bridge pickup cover has 2-1/16" (52.3mm) spacing. They would fit 490T, 498T and 500T pickups. When it comes to Burstbuckers and 57 Classics the neck and bridge pickups use the same exact covers, because the pole screw spacing is the same. When it comes to PAFs there is no such thing as a neck or bridge pickup, other than making the output so it is balanced properly between the two. |
