wilkinson humbuckers

I just re-installed a set of wilkinson humbuckers in my lp studio. they are awsome!! I first put them in a couple of months ago to replace the 490/498 combo that was stock. Then I found a set of 30 year old Dimarzio super d's on ebay. I installed them. they sound great too, lots of punch, but lack the warmth, and mids of the wilkinsons. The wilkinsons rate at about 13.8 on the bridge, and 8.5 on the neck. the bridge sounds great, nice mids like an old paf, but with more punch. the neck is a bit dark sounding, but i'm going to change the cap, and see if that brightens it up at all. The wilkinsons are a great bang for the buck. $30-$40 a set on ebay. It beats $150+ for a set of Duncans!! hope this helps.....cheers.
