WB Quick ship!

We always read the bad but never hear the good. I processed my PayPal to Will Thursday evening (the 28th) for a set of Habanero's. They were deliveried to my house Tuesday the 2nd. Monday was Labor Day so I just had to let everyone know how quick the shipping was. I'll be installing these bad boys tonight. Reviews soon!

Re: WB Quick ship!

Not being one to wish to disturb a man with work to do, I chose the email option to express my interest in taking advantage of the current discount. Email was replied to by Will within 2 hours, and order for a set of habaneros was completed an hour later.

My postman is getting nervous. I start to salivate and look at him funny when he comes over the hill. Only person who wants those pickups to come more than me is him...

Re: WB Quick ship!

I can attest to the quick service too! After talking with Will last Thursday, I ordered my pickups on Friday and they showed up here in Oklahoma on Tuesday (Monday was Labor Day). AMAZING!

I'll post my own thread/review hopefully tomorrow.

They arrived today. (Ordered Tuesday late evening) They look mah-va-lous!

Best thing was that my guitar playing buddy was with me when we got back from playing disc golf and found them in my mailbox. "You mean he hand makes them? How can you afford that??"

Laura, Will's mom would be welcome, as are you and Will and family anytime your in the East Sac area. There's a cold beer and a warm bbq more often than not.

Now for one stupid question, as I've never swapped humbuckers. I got the zebras, do I align the adjustable polepieces in the same orientation as the BB Pros I'm taking out? That would make them white/black black/white. correct?

I know someone will hit that easy question quick, so I'm plugging in my soldering iron now...

Re: WB Quick ship!

Ironically the guitar player I was with today was coming by the house to bring me some habaneros to make some bbq sauce.

I couldn't resist the irony....

They are in. I just need to finish cleaning and string 'er up...

Post stringup edit: It seems in her new found freedom of expression, my baby also burned her pickguard...

Anytime man! We do every Sunday pretty regular.

I paced those habs today. I fell in love with the bridge instantly. It was exactly how I heard it in my head based on the descriptions. The neck it took me a second to figure out, but once I rolled the volume back to about 8, it got all clean and shimmery and I figured the rest out from there. Seems complex and warm, with spectacular bass response and very pleasant mids pushed. You can run it full out. That last little bit of volume seems to break it up a little, in a warm fuzzy slap yo mama kinda way.

I got the RS vintage kit a month ago in preparation for these pickups. i noticed a slight difference with the BB's and the Vit Q's with the new pots, but these Habs really make all of my knob positions usable. Everytime I turn a knob I get another sick sweet tone.

Three other guitar players played (fought over) that guitar during today's bbq jam (being unemployed with unemployed friends can be cool sometimes) They all left here muttering about what they would be able to do if they had THAT tone.

Thank you Will!! I don't know much about how you did what you did, but you sure as Hell did it, and I am a true believer. Now I want a set of Firewaters, but I need to buy a guitar to put them in.

Oh! when you come down, bring me a t-shirt pretty please!! I need a big one. 3x or 4x. I'll trade you for a pulled pork sandwich and some babybacks with habanero bbq glaze.

That is tempting. We have to get together and make a BBQ jam for sure. I am really glad that you dig them. The Habs are becoming the hit among quite a few players. From blues to hard rock the Habs seem to be the pickup that so many are loving for their versatility. It's a great feeling that people like them. I am proud of them.
