Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
Double hums, I tend to use both a lot for certain things. I love the in between tones a lot and like to play with the volume and tone knobs there. I can get some amazing tones that way. I am a neck player at times for most leads but love the growl of the bridge too... Close tie..
On my single pickup SG I use the bridge of coarse all the time. Although I have the pickups wired to a push/pull and split it and once again can get some great tones just messing with the volume and tone knob. On my Strat I like all positions but mostly on positions 5, 4 & 2. Position 1 for quick picking stuff mostly... On Tele's which I am really enjoying my Nashville Power Tele lately. I am all over the board. On this Nashville Power Tele, I really like running in Stereo and blending the Fishman with the passives. A lot of fun... |

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
Bridge 80% of the time. When I do switch gears, it's to the middle position. I rarely use the neck p'up by itself. I think of all the p'up swaps I've done over the years, I may have replaced about 3 neck p'ups, but nearly every guitar I've owned has been treated to a bridge p'up upgrade.

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
I use all 3 positions equally. I like the neck pickup for solos about the 12th, both pickups for the 7-11 fret range and the treble pickup for the first 7 frets.
It also depends on whether its clean rhythm or dirty, or clean, crunchy or searing solos... but all 3 positions have their uses. I love the clean sound with both pickups on, or that sweet bluesy sound with a bit of crunch. Neck pickup goes from bubbly to woofy depending on where you're playing, and I love doing a bubbly arpeggio in the upper frets, and ending it on a high e string bend with the treble pickup.

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
Bridge, 3/4 of the times... But I'm trying to utilise the bridge more often nowadays though. Looking at parts of songs where the Rhythm would come usefull.

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
It depends on which guitar I'm playing. On the Hamer XT Standard I play the neck pick up the most and on the Epiphone I lean more to the bridge. The Hamer has a SD 59 in the neck and a JB in the bridge. I like the 59 he best in that guitar. The Epi had WB HVTP's. It good on both but I tend to lean on the bridge more.

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
I am most usually on my neck pickup with either of my two main Les Pauls , When I hit my bride on my Les Paul 60 Reissue normally my tone is set to between 4 and half to seven, That 500T has a whole lotta scream in it, and can just about peal paint , When blending though with the front, then its usally run wide open

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
Mostly bridge for overdriven leads and crunch chords. Mostly neck for clean leads and some clean rhythm. Middle position for most clean rhythm.
I'll work my tone controls fairly often, and to some extend my volumes. Terry. |

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
I love the '57's I have in my 335, and the filtertons in my country gentlesman
the gretsch is for the twang and the 335 is for all the rest

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
Nanomag! LOL!
When using distortion or just twangy clean, bridge, usually with just a touch of neck blended in (5:1 ratio).

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
It was neck most of the time but since the Vitamin Q's were installed I find myself using the bridge more with the tone rolled back a bit. I find the extra treble from the bridge is a little more difficult to control and is less forgiving of bad picking technique.
Seeing Joe B play almost entirely on the bridge pick-up also convinced me to try it out some more since I love his tone. The more I play with the Epi stock pickups and the Vitamin Q's the more impressed I am and the less desire I have to do any pickup swaps. The stockers are darn good but they needed the PIO caps to let them breath. |

Re: Which Pickup do you use the most?
use them all...but tend to end up using the neck a bit more...and it really depends on the situation and guitar...what I want to say, is the WBs I have are by far my fav bridge PU...it is so sweet..never thought I could like a bridge PU so much....(just to be fair the LOllars and WCRs are also great PUs...)
