Re: songs or clips with a heavy p90 sound

YouTube - Warren Zevon - Certain Girl (live 1982)

One of my favorite Zevon tracks.
Nice Les Paul with P90's throughout.
The whole '82 New Jersey Concert rocks, but it is only available on old VHS.Hence the sound quality is a bit rough.

Gotta telly a I've been a Humbucker fan all my life, but recently went through "the change" and P90's really set me off. If only they did not pickup so much electrical interference........

I just traded My Mesa boogie Lonestar Special for this Axe. Can't wait to get it in

I own these two as well:

Was cranking the Eastwood just a few minutes ago through my Roland Cube 30 with a little gain. Great tone. I like playing in the daylight. At night the damn pickups pickup all the lights in the house and they hum/moan, etc. There are real reasons why humbuckers exist.....

Thanks! I have not made any clips. I have to learn how and then join youtube. I plan on it, but have been busy.
I'm thinking of getting a digital camera that shoots movies ( Most digicams do ) Then I don't have to use my video camera and transfer the tape, etc.
I'll get up to speed some day.

Do you have access to a P90 guitar at a dealer or a friend's house? If so go forth and crank it! You will be very happy with what all describe as a "Snarl" Great sounding pickups that are sometimes a bear to play live.

No, minihumbuckers sound very different. Mini's are much lower in power and basically sound like brighter and cleaner humbuckers to me. P-90's are grittier and meatier with a lot more bass and mid, still pretty bright.

IMO no they sound better you need not go any farther than listening to Mississippi Queen by Mountain to hear what you are seeking. One p-90 can do it all with the right guy playing it.

Heavy songs with p90s?

You need to hear The Who Live At Leeds - Townshend is playing an SG special with P90s. IMHO the best rock tone on an album ever recorded.
