I have and use a Weber Mass 100 attenuator.
With the adjustments available on the attenuator as well as the amp I am able to set things so I don't notice any loss of "tone". That said, however, my old ears aren't able to pick up things such as sound changes from different tuners, etc. :-) |

+1 on the Weber.
Worth specifying the headphone and line out taps if you order - costs very little extra and really adds to the versatility.
