Pedal for that Beano tone

Is there a pedal that will give you the classic marshall bluesbreaker / Les Paul tone like Clapton has on Beano?
I have a Menatone Ms. Foxy Brown which is cool, but it doesn't really do it.

He used a Rangemaster... It's a treble booster that distorts/sweetens the treble

Re: Pedal for that Beano tone

I guess I didn't describe my setup well...
I need a pedal to make a fender amp sound like a JTM-45 bluesbreaker with a Dallas Rangemaster.

You need a PODxt hooked up to that fender. Dial in a JTM-45 mod, with eq, and 2x25 watt Greenback cab. And you'll be there.

Re: Pedal for that Beano tone

I run a modded DS-1 into a Fender Champ and it sounds fairly close to Beano-tone (to my ears at least. I also had a friend mention that my setup sounded JTM45-ish. though my recently acquired Class 5 is alot closer of course)

Re: Pedal for that Beano tone

I am using a custom (made from a super reverb chassis) amp that is like a deluxe reverb with a 35 watt cathode biased EL-34 output section.
I am playing at fairly low levels....
I'll contact AnalogMan.

Well actually, unless new evidence has come to light, that's just hat a lot of people think.

I don't have the link but there was quite a good video on Youtube called something like Rangemaster myth which casts more doubt on the issue.

Re: Pedal for that Beano tone

Any JTM45-in-a-box pedal must get you in the ballpark. Another suggestion is the Rocket Pedals - Animal Overdrive. There are a couple very good videos on youtube, check it out.
