what pedals run @ 18 volts?
I was noticing that my dunlop brick power supply has 3 outlets for 18volts? what kind of pedals, or what pedals run @ 18 volts?
I was thinking maybe rotary simulators, or massive gain pedals or other kinds of uber swirly unqiue pedals? what pedals are out there that run @ 18v ?

Re: what pedals run @ 18 volts?
Some will run on ranges up to 18v so it's not like the pedal has to be specifically rated for 18v. However, do use caution and do your research if in doubt.
Side note: I'll bet Jimmy Page didn't use any pedals that run on 18v.

Fulltone Fulldrive, Xotic EP Booster, Dunlop EQ, Crunch Box. Those are all the ones I've used.

Re: what pedals run @ 18 volts?
When I ordered my TS808 from Analogman, I had them send it back 18v.
I have no idea what they did, but I like it!

Re: what pedals run @ 18 volts?
All Digitech Hardwire pedals run on 9V power supplies, but internally are bumped up to 18V. GREAT tone!

only the 10 band...the 6 band is 9v
The N.O.C. 3 Pure Drive is 9v or 18v.

Maxon SM9+Pro can run either 18V or 9V. Simply flip the switch under the battery cover from one to the other. Also has true bypass!

Re: what pedals run @ 18 volts?
Can somebody explain to me WHY they run at 18v? Yeah, clean headroom, but what does that mean? You can turn it higher without distorting your signal? But then why would people use it on dirt pedals?

MXR 1-117 Flanger
MXR EVH Flanger ... Pretty much any pedal that size from dunlop. The 10 band EQ is another great example.

Re: what pedals run @ 18 volts?
Lot of Reverb pedals do. 18volts from what I read is suppose to give you more headroom at that's what I said for the BYOC Reverb pedal.

Re: what pedals run @ 18 volts?
Guess you rarely touch your volume knob on your guitar huh? Heh... The extra headroom allows the distorted signal to retain picking dynamics even on full gain. That's a very amp-like characteristic. And when you roll off your volume knob, the tones are sweeter, and not as compressed.
