Distortion pedal or Boss SD -1

I want to play bluesy leads over clean loops when i practice. Should i get a true distortion pedal or the Boss SD 1?

I have this loop pedal that if you distort the amp it distorts your loop too and the drum beat as well so I have to drive the guitar pre-loop pedal.

Drive > Loop station > Vox AD30vt.

What would you get? A distortion pedal or the SD 1?

Fulltone OCD!

I own a SD-1 (got it cheap) and a TS9DX and they don't come close to the OCD... I have been messing around with combining the TS9DX and OCD, though... and it sounds AMAZING

I have Keeley's newest SD-1 modded pedal. It rocks!
