Looking for BOSS...
I remember being in a cover band around the age of 14 years old. One of the first effect pedals I bought was made my BOSS.
Now I know I'm probably reaching here but does anyone remember the BOSS pedal called "Blue Box"? I'm going back to the mid-1970's here... Of course the pedal was blue in color but the effects from it were very unique, nothing like I had ever heard before or since. The best I can describe it would be a Flanger w/Phase but it also did this octave thing that just really confused you as to what it actually was supposed to do? The "Blue Box" disappeared one day never to be seen again. I have done tons of searches on the internet since but have had no success locating another one? Anyone remember these? Know where I can find one?

Re: Looking for BOSS...
Whoa that's it!
No wonder I could never find it in BOSS's catalog because it's an MXR! Doh! Do you know if MXR still makes them? Sure would like to get my hands on one again. I recall messing with the settings and getting some really strange but killer sounds from that thing! Thanks LoKi!

Yep, they still make them. I tried one a couple months ago at a local store... You can get some very odd sounds out of this box, it tracks really weird at certian settings... you can go from an octafuzz type sound to atari and 8bit nintendo sounds lol...
