Re: What delay pedal do you like?

my amp is real sensitive to pedals with bad buffers. Every boss I have owned and put in front of my amp cut some of the highs out of my signal "numbed" it up a bit.

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I really like my Modtone delay. Got mine from Beyond Eleven for 69.99. Crazy price for analog and true bypass.

That's a great price. Thanks for the tip. If my Memory Toy doesn't work out. I'll order one.

I'm actually getting the Memory Toy. It's a three knob, CC type deal. I'm getting from amazon, so it's an easy return if it's funky.

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I have the Carbon Copy and like it quite a bit, but the Malekko Ekko 616 seems to be killer from this clip, and with adjustments on the face for their "mod" engagement. Same price as the CC too!!!!!!

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I have a Memory Boy, and I love the voice it has. A little warmer than the carbon copy, but it has a bit more clarity too.
Memory Toy I am sure sounds very similar, just less flexible. I'm dying to get an expression pedal so I can go to mars!

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I love the sound of the Memory Boy, however it has a paper in it warning against using any other power source even an EH power source from a different
model. So I'm sending it back, and getting a Modtone. I tried, but EH makes it tough.

Not a pedal, but my Lexicon MPX-G2 rack unit has the best sounding delay I've ever heard.

I've been using it with a voodoo labs pedal power 2 + for several months. No problems so far

Yeah, I thought about it. But I just returned it for a refund. I'm trying the Modtone.

The Modtone looks cool - do you have it already? If so, what do you think?

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I currently have a WEM Copicat,Melos tape echo,Boss DD3,Danelectro Wasabi Rock a Bye,Arion SAD (stereo analogue delay) 1 and have had others. The Arion is cheap, plastic and the delay I use 99% of the time.It has the warmth and lushness of the tape echos, with the size, ease of use and low noise of the pedals. Plus you can pick them up cheap on E Bay. Its the black/orange stripe.

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I love the new BOSS DD-7. The range is fantastic from slapback to analog sounds to full long digital "Edge" repeats.

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

I got the Mod Tone, and I must say Tonewise I prefer the Memory Toy. If it doesn't have a issue with the Voodoo Labs, I may go back. I'm going to try a CC first.

Re: What delay pedal do you like?

Had a Memory Man. Loved it but couldn't get over the volume drops. Using a Nova Delay. Fabulous pedal but switching presets can be a challenge. One that I think worth mentioning if you are on a budget is the Ibanez DE-7. They can be had used for as little as $30 and both the analog and digital settings are very useful.

I've been waiting for someone to review this one.

Interested in what the 919 will have to bring to the table.
