Re: Hardwire pedals!

Are they made in the USA? I didn't know that. I hear very good things about them though, never personally played one but they sure look well made!

Re: Hardwire pedals!

I use to hate Digitech stuff but I'll give these a try. Just about every review I've seen was very positive. Sounds like they have made a massive improvement in their gear.

I think I heard proguitarshop on youtube say that. I may be dreaming it but i could have swore. No guarntees. Maybe someone with a little bit more knowladge could verify this.

They are made in the USA but I doubt it's actually 'handmade'.

I do like the constant voltage circuity they have in these. Very nice feature. My Taser has the same technology.

Re: Hardwire pedals!

New Hardwire pedals are now made in China. Digitech always does their first few runs in their ever so shrinking manufacturing floor but ships most (not all) products to China. They have turned into a Engineering Designing company and is moving away from production.

My Hardwire pedals are all USA made. The only ones I don't have are the tuner and the chorus (which i WILL get eventually).

Re: Hardwire pedals!

Yep... They're very very usable... Still tweaking around with the TL2 though, but even that is still pretty good as a metal-ish pedal.

Re: Hardwire pedals!

I've got the overdrive and love it. In fact I like it more than my TS808 reissue and OCD. I like the mid hump in it and the range of dirt. Nice features!

Re: Hardwire pedals!

Actually, I just got the Chorus over the weekend. AND I sold my old BOSS CE3. I didn't see any point in keeping both. Especially when the Hardwire does everything I need, and can emulate the CE3. Plus, the chorus I got, was still the MIA one.

Re: Hardwire pedals!

I bought a TL-2 today as I have been looking to add a heavier sounding pedal to my collection. This one caught my attention from reviews and listening to it on You tube. It appears and feels well made and solid. Also considered the new MXR metal pedal that is just out but I chose this one. I didn't spend much time with it this evening but I can say it's a keeper. Huge and big sounding with the Deluxe Reverb and it even sounded good with my little GA-5. I'd like to know what EQ settings that users are using...

Re: Hardwire pedals!

I have two, the Overdrive and the Delay. I plan on getting the Reverb and the Chorus soon. I find these pedals very well built and they sound great. The best thing is they don't ruin your tone when your not using them. My guitar still sounds rich and pristine while running through the pedals. Great pedals, great price in my opinion.

I got the tuner as well. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a tuner that actually works.

Re: Hardwire pedals!

I'm using 5 of the Hardwire pedals the Tuner, Tube Overdrive, Valve Distortion, Chorus and Delay I love these pedals they are built solid and sound incredible. I've used other boutique pedals that cost a hell of a lot more but they are long gone now I would recommend these highly!

I have the Pedaltrain 1 that was reissued for guitarcenter its only $119 with the hardcase, for power I use the One Spot which works flawlessly with these pedals!

I have the same ones! All of mine are US made except the delay which is made in China. There is no noticeable difference in the quality. The pedals are excellent sounding and highly adaptable to any rig. You can just buy them and get on with playing music!!

I am going to buy the reverb but the only reason I would buy the metal is just to say I have them all but that would just be silly right....?

Here I am with my new Gold Top and the Valve Distortion through a Princeton reverb. At 2:28 you can here the guitar acoustically over the amplified sound, which is what I am after in a dirt pedal. Great sounds at low volume! Cranked is heaven!!

You are too kind! Thanks Mr. Blues!!

I am sure I will be doing some more with different combinations of Hardwire pedals. Kind of pointless to do an actual review of each pedal as there are a bunch of good ones out there. If anyone wants to hear something in particular for Hardwire sounds, I can try to accomodate!

How's the tuner guys? Is it worth getting? It's the only hardwire I don't have left.

I love the tuner. A use a boss for many years. This makes tuning very easy. It doesn't swing around like cheap tuners. Easy to read.
