Zvex Box Of Metal!!!!!!

Any of you metal heads out there need to check this out!!! Kind of a one trick pony, but very impressive!!! I've had a lot of metal/hi gain experience in this area in the past and I haven't seen/heard anything as cool as this. Check out the site and run the demos. Yikes!!! I prefer the Chrome/Vexter version over the more expensive hand painted one. Awesome!!!!

I love the ZVEX Fuzz Probe, but I haven't tried anything else by them.

I'll give it a shot. Not as much of a metal guy as I used to be, but I still love the toys and sounds that go with it.

My current favorite balls out distortion box is the Landmine. Crazy amounts of gain and sustain!

I love Zvex pedals, everyone I tried I have loved. I have the Fuzzfactory, Box of Rock and SHO. I was so excited to go try the Box of Metal.

I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't get a good sound from it. Mids were very hard to tweak, treble was fake, and the whole thing was just very UNLIKE an amp... Was Fizzy, characterless, and shrill. I was disapointed... I played with it for more than 30 mins in the shop... ANnd even the owner said... "Yeah, its a hard one to get a good sound from...."

I have been searching for a metal pedal for YEARS... Haven't found any that gives the response of a high gain amp at all... Krank, Landmine, Gain Fxxker Damage Control, Line6 etc.... Owned them all, all artificial sounding.

Closest yet are the Subdecay BlackStar (but NEEDS high gain PUs), and EHX Metal Muff... Metal Muff is surprisingly the best.
