Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
I've always wanted to add a little reverb to my sound once in a while , But I have a non reverb Marshall that I'd prefer not to Mod ... I've played on Fender reverb units but never tried a reverb pedal , Is there any pedal that can get me a good believable reverb sound ???

Digitech Hardwire Reverb. The best i've tried... Beats the TC Electronics Nova Reverb, Verbvilla, and most others... They use Lexicon reverb patches. Replicates a Fender spring reverb tank very accurately...

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
I tried this one first but ended up getting a Verbzilla anyway. I don't remember what I didn't like about it but I just preferred the Verbzilla. It wasn't a bad pedal and I like the Hardwire series pedals. Just didn't do it for me.

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
I don't "get" reverb. My amps all have it, but I'm not a fan of it.. I dunno.

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
Trex, tube driven. I was actually thinking of going real spring pan via Schreyer or VanAmps or Fender. It's the real deal, they are just expensive. Also check out the vintage Fisher spaceXpander, they rock and are alittle less expensive than the VanAmps or the Schreyer.
Good luck and let us know what you pick up. |

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
Bobbo, you like nice stuff, go for the Dr. Scientist Reverberator.
I ordered one a few weeks ago from analoguehaven.com and its one of the best pedal purchases I have ever made, it's been a while since a pedal surprised me as much as this, and its a effing reverb!!!. I didn't think it twice and removed the Holy grail from my board. Quoting myself from another post: "I've never heard a reverb pedal like the reverberator, it has so many options to play around with (2 halls, 3 rooms, 3 plates and a rotary speaker sim), I used it in front of a Soldano Lucky 13 (clean ch), and the thing is just amazing, no volume drop here, it has a lvl knob to take care of that common issue with reverb pedals. It makes no noise at all, if you find one grab it immediately. I knew this pedal was great but hearing it live is totally different, as good as the demos sound they don't do justice to the pedal" I've tried it with my 800 and it sounds great as well. |

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
Within the bounds of monetary reason my Hardwire is great, actually - replaced my Grail even though I know that to be blasphemy. True bypass and lots of options.

wow that dr science does sound nice. With no volume drop I may have to reevaluate my holy grail.

That said, the Electro Harmonix Holy Grail is good for some amp-style reverb. And these Rocktron Reverbs are a fantastic deal on clearance $80. They're a little hi-tech, (probably why they're going out,) but they sound terrific, another studio-quality tone. They original sold for $250, so that's a steal: Buy Rocktron Cyborg Digital Reverb Pedal | Delay & Reverb | Musician's Friend Good luck, Bobbo!

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
Gotta agree with the guys previous , Electro Harmonix Holy Grail is a good one , i run one through the loop in my Budda Superdrive 30 , works a treat.

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
I got the Verbzilla, but I so far have ended up just leaving it on the 60's spring setting. I'm contemplating trading it in for the Malekko Spring Chicken.

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
I'm surprised no one had mentioned the Solemate. I keep meaning to buy one of those.
What my solution has been since before a lot of the newer things have come out, and it works really well, is an Alesis Nanoverb. Has some great reverbs in it and adjustments has a very wide range. At the time I bought it (actually two) it was $99.. Jackson50, that Dr. Scientist Reverberator is pretty nice. Thanks for the vid! |

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
One of the best floor reverb units i've played is the T Rex Roommate.

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
I've owned the TRex, Holy Grail, and Reverberator. The Reverberator beats the other two in a sec. The Grail is $115. The Trex goes for $370 and Dr. Scientist $275. So if you're not going to use the pedal that much I'd say go for the Grail.

Re: Is there a Good Reverb Pedal ???
A lot of good suggestions here, but you should try out a Holy Grail as well. Only $99 and sounds great to me!
