Re: Pedal=BDRI tone

BDRI = Blackface Deluxe reissue?

How about one of these?

Roland U.S. - FDR-1: Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb

I've never been sold on pedals that sound like amps. I'm a big fan of pedals that sound like pedals and amps that sound like amps.

Re: Pedal=BDRI tone

I'm a Deluxe Reverb Addict (I go to meetings.) I've got 2 originals and a reissue. Can't stop...

Anyway, there are a couple pedals around that aim to do this.
Boss and Fender teamed up to make a DR Pedal:
Roland U.S. - FDR-1: Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb
Boss FDR-1 vs. Fender ’65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue / Boss FBM-1

I only tried it briefly in-store, but it definitely had the vibe of a Deluxe Reverb. More overdrive available from it though. Seemed like a nice pedal, and worth a look.

Secondly, I'm not a pedal guy but I've been real impressed with Seymour Duncan's designs. The new Twin Tube Blue is designed to get that Fender sound, and has a lead channel which is sort of like a DR cranked to 15. Sounds great, and it's an all-tube pedal, and true bypass.
Stompboxes - SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue - Seymour Duncan/Basslines
