Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
#1: Peterson Strobostomp
#2: Hard Wire pedal Tuner Both are true-bypass and built like tanks. If you can afford it, the Strobostomp is really worth it: it's far more accurate than any other pedal tuner, or any other (non Peterson) tuner under $400, seriously.

I've been blown away by the HardWire series. Digitech has really raised the bar. All of the ones I've played have been some of the best in their class I've heard, and sound better than some pedals that cost 2 times as much. I love the rubber guard for the knobs, too. Great idea to keep your settings.

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
I decided to go a different route instead of getting a new tuner pedal , I went and got an effects Loop pedal to take my current tuner out of the signal chain when not in use , It was pretty cheap ...

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
Has anyone checked out the Boss TU-1000 stage tuner? I'm curious about it because it's so big you'd need a lot of pedalboard real estate.

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
Hey Bobo,
I use the Korg Pitch Black Plus I think it is a PB02. I had the Boss TU2 but it is not very accurate- only +-3 Cent. that is not really accurate at all. The PB Plus is accurate to +- .1 Cent. You can use this to do intonation with a breeze. It also has 2 inputs which you can prrogram seperatly. It is built like a tank. It is comparable to the Petersons and goes for 149.00 I love it. g

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
With the Turbo Tuner out there I don't know why there is even a question about which tuner anymore except for those that haven't heard of it yet.

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
I've used a Boss TU-2 for years now. Tough pedal, and I've seen 9 out of 10 pros use it.
1 out of 10 use a Korg Pitchblack. |

I used a "Pitch Pipe" for years. Probably helps keep your ears in tune too.

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
I did some research on tuners last night, I'd get a Korg PitchBlack, It is THE ONLY tuner that is "true bypass" *stock* when you turn it off.
*Well according to online sources* But I think they look nice too~ |

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
This little number is true bypass when it's switched off:
![]() Switched on it kills the output for silent tuning. It's rather good, with a lot of features including a bloody great display that's nicely visible in any lighting conditions. Strobe. Very accurate and very precise, too.

Re: I'm Looking for a Good Pedal Tuner .....
i have a strobostomp II and a turbo tuner st200. they are both great pedal tuners. the ssII stays on my main board because i like the readout better. the turbo tuner goes to rehearsals and hangs out in the music room. the turbo tuner is a little faster but i don't like the readout as much as the ss2. fwiw, the turbo tuner is a little difficult to read in direct sunlight if you play outside much.

The Boss TU-2 is the best one ever.
