Help with Reverb in chain/loop/send/return

EDIT: Got it goin, we're good!

Amp is on OD channel

If you can understand that, I got

guitar>>SD>>WAH>>AMP INPUT

then I have the

reverb input>>FX Send
reverb output to FX Return

Im getting no reverb like that. it sounds fine going right into amp, but only of the clean channel. If i go right into the input with the sd1 going, and my dirty channel it sounds horrible. is this not right?

Re: Help with Reverb in chain/loop/send/return

Go from the send on the amp to the input on the pedal...

the from the output on the pedal to the return on the amp.....(Edit...duh..isn't that what you said you had?)

that should cure the problem...

2 cents.....put the wah 1st then the SD and see how that sounds

Sometimes us old guys slip just a little....

does that model marshall have any controls for the effects loop?

Wah should come first before SD-1.

guitar<wah<SD-1<Amp

Re: Help with Reverb in chain/loop/send/return

Here's a quick test you can do......plug guitar strait into the amp(no effects)
then try the wah in the loop,,both channels,,see if it works....

thats just odd..unless the loop in bad,or there is a switch or something that changes the loop from series to parallel of shuts it off altogether...

Just FX mix, and i set it all the way up. Also on the back it has a button for the FX level, either not pushed at +4DBV, or pushed in at -10DBV. No clue what that is.

the fx mix is like a volume for your fx loop the +4 and -10 are for "active type fx"
so you wont overload the signal...

For pedal reverbs..The general opinion is that "The Holy Grail" ..is just that..

Well IMO with reverbs, its great for cleans but when it comes to anything dirty, too much of verb or delay or any modulations tend to mess everything up..
