Sorry Folks... Will Not Post Any of my Pedals Anymore

I was shocked to get private messages from three super admins of this website. They stated that I was spamming and selling the DIY pedals that I have built and that I have posted. I've never indicated that these pedals were for sale nor have I provided any websites for pedal sales in any of my posts. All I did was just post pics and perhaps some videos of the pedals that I have built and I guess it was taken a wrong way. How were my post mistakenly be considered Spam for selling pedals?

Have I done anything different? Others have posted pics of pedals they have built.....right?

Maybe they have you confused with somebody else. I never saw you post that anything was for sale or anything other than showing of your personal work. The admins, and anybody else, can verify by looking through your past posts.

I've enjoyed looking at your projects and hearing the demos. Something definitely isn't right with this situation. I hope it gets worked out.

I dont see why they are taken as spam :/ I would encourage showing pedals you just made! Show people a lot of variety out there and maybe people will get into building pedals as well.

Not making it up....very surprised as you are. To be specific, its one Admin and two Super Mods that PM that I was spamming in intent to sell pedals. I have no clue how they got that from the post I've made....many of my pedals have bad paint jobs for God's sakes.

Yes, I've recently just started making pedals.. As anyone can see my progress from the early pedal post and the more recent ones I've done. I don't see how my pedals can be mistaken as pedals intended for sale. I've PM the admin and the two super mods.

I'll vouch for blues being a stand up guy. I have never seen him be anything other than an active contributor to the forum. He shares lots of gear demos. I have never seen him try to sell anything.

This sounds completely absurd. For the record, I have really enjoyed your posts and if anything been encouraged to at some point start building my own pedals as well. I never got the impression that you were trying to sell anything. I hope this gets cleared up.

At least you didn't get banned for posting a link to a bill that the Gov't was passing. When the "Premium and VIP" members posted the same thing without getting banned. I was a premium member, show support at the Philly guitar show a few years back, and been on here for almost 4 years without incident.

Now that being said it's their forums the admins can be unfair about whatever they want.

Blues Guitar you are the man! Your posts have been helpful and even inspired me to learn how to solder. Maybe I am gullible but most of us here are amateurs when it comes to building pedals, amps, etc. Some of us have gotten better and support each other but that is what happens when you practice something. It also feels great to finish a project and share that accomplishment with like minded others. That is what is so great about this forum. Also, we are all jammers and we stand by what works for us. There was an eruption of threads about the Red Llama DIY pedal, because it was a great kit and much cheaper than the Way Huge. It is also a simple circuit to build and and develop a hobby/.new skill. Thats the pedal I built and it all started from this forum and not a post that you created or contributed on. I would recommend that particular kit just like others recommend PAFs that work and don't work, amps, guitars, etc. I hope they let you off of the hook.

Ummm guys, River doesn't have any authority to ban anyone. He is just pointing out that this discussion could lead to that. However, mentioning it probably doesn't help.

I looked though about 20 threads, and saw nothing about sales, except when you referred a couple guys to the DIY sites to get their own kit.

You demo vids show pics of just about everything you've posted about. They sound great, btw.

We make mistakes, too. I've written the mods/Admin about it.

Your Posts were reported to the Moderators by a Vendor as Spam.
When a Post is reported, as a Moderator, I am obligated to look
at the Post and make a judgment call.
When I looked at your posts, and your Photobucket Account, the
number of Pedals there lead me to believe that it certainly was a
possibility you could be selling them, as I don’t know anyone else
that builds that many Pedal solely as a hobby, for their own use
and enjoyment. That’s not to say it can’t happen, but that when asked
to make a decision, I don’t know anyone else who has a Pedal
array like that. Also your Threads and Posts have a very polished
look. One could mistake them for advertisements. The only thing
missing is contact information.
I have asked for assistance from the other Moderators and the
Administrator, and if the consensus is that you are simply a Hobby
Builder, I will reinstate your Threads, and apologize. None of us is
infallible.
