NPD: Parallel Looper

I have a Rotosphere, which has no wet/dry mix control, and I wanted to tone it down a bit. My solution was the T1m Mini Blender and it seems perfect for this. The ability to mix in the dry signal makes the Rotosphere much more useful, IMO. I found that I like it mixed down about 50%.

The Mini Blender is an active parallel looper in a 1590B case. It has a bypass foot switch and a big mix knob. It requires 9V to operate (I haven't opened it yet to see if it takes a battery). You can even plug an expression pedal into it to control the mix.

A parallel loop isn't just a solution for the Rotosphere. You could use one to make your own version of the Sparkle Drive, add analog dry-through to a digital delay that doesn't have it, put a fuzz in the loop and modulate it with an expression pedal, etc.

True. I like pedals that encourage outside-of-the-box creative thinking.
Cool stuff Chris!

How bad was the waiting time from T1M?

Don't know. I bought this off of TGP, so it took two days.

I didn't really think much about other uses until I wrote this. Now I think I want an expression pedal.

Yeah, we discussed it at the time. It's been on my mind ever since. It works great, but it's definitely more bother than having a mix knob built-in. I love my Rotosphere and don't gig, so it's a workable solution.
