Boss Metal Zone Shred Setting?

Alright so I just picked this pedal up at a local pawnshop for $15 just to shred solos. If any of you have this pedal, what are the best settings you have found for shredding?

i have one but don't shred. here's the settings anyway...

level to taste - usually around 12 or 1ish

low 5

high 1

mid freq 10

middle 11

dist 1

Thanks. I'm assuming by the level of distortion your like me. I'm not generally a metal player but sometimes have the urge to shred.

ha.. yeah, i'm just in a normal grungy rock band. i'm the only guitarist though, so i like to sound big'n'beefy
