Electro Harmonix Black Finger Optical Tube Compressor
Just a quick question for someone who has an Electro Harmonix Black Finger Optical Tube Compressor. I know it comes with a 12VAC/1000mA Power Adaptor but I’d like to power it from my Pedal Power 2 Plus. Could you tell me the following please:
Any help is much appreciated! |

Re: Electro Harmonix Black Finger Optical Tube Compressor
The PP2+ only provides DC. The Black Finger requires 12 volts AC. If it could run on DC (like some Line 6 AC pedals), you'd probably need to gang two PP2+ outputs for 18V. You need to know the Black Finger's current requirements. Its power supply is 1000mA, about twice what the PP2 can provide on outputs 5 & 6.

Re: Electro Harmonix Black Finger Optical Tube Compressor
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm powering my Deluxe Memory Man from sockets 5 and 6 so that would be out anyhow. I guess having one pedal plugged into a strip isn't going to hurt too much or I could get a T-REX Fuel Tank Chameleon

Re: Electro Harmonix Black Finger Optical Tube Compressor
My PSU experience is very limited, but my Chameleon works like a charm so far. The 18v is a godsend for my old Danelectro chorus!
