Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

What is the rule-of-thumb for pedal placement in the chain? Which can go through the front of the amp, which should go to the send and return loops.

Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

Currently I've got 2 different boards - the first one is used in my home studio and has "everything"
(at least until I have another GAS attack) on it, while the one below it is smaller in size and is what
I take to gigs and use with my church's praise band...

Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

Agree about the stage application...I just use it at home for now. Once I have figured out what I want/need for live performance, I'll rearrange for ease of use on stage...will probably have more than one board!

Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

I have tweaked my board for the last 30 days, and I have arrived at this version which I really like...it's a little cleaner than my previous arrangement.

Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

Digitech RP500 is what I am currently using as my road rig, it doubles as an effects pedal board and amp simulator for direct recording.

I still have my old pedalboard at home using older Boss effects, Marshall Guvn'or for OD, and a Nady wireless.

The RP500 is pretty impressive and records well in hotel rooms.

Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

This is the old board. I'm having it hardwired by Orbit Electronix (Tony from Krank) with a couple other pedals.

This one (l to r):
Black Box (rechargeable battery power)
Big Red Machine (Digital Delay/Flanger/Phaser) by Orbit
Frankenstien (Dall Rangemaster reboxed)
Dunlop 535Q Wah
EP3 Preamp by Orbit
Planet Waves tuner

I have added a more expanded EP# (acts like buffer)
A buffer
and an octave pedal

Pics to follow

As you can tell, it still needs work. But who needs a pedal board when you have on effects on my amp

BOSS TU-12H Tuner>'73 Thomas Cry-Baby>BOSS DS-1 (Allums mod)>Crowther HotCake>'81 Ibanez TS-808>Ibanez CSL Chorus>Ibanez DL10 Delay. All tucked away in an old Ibanez case that originally had been rubber foam-lined & held only 3 pedals.

I've got a bit of pedal fetish. there are 6 others not on there.

I only use 3-4 at any given time but its nice to have choices.

Theres my glorious mess :]

heres the mess and the rest!

It might look like a horrible nasty mess cause of all the patch cords running for power, but it works and I never had a pedal breakdown so the mess remains

Any one care to explain what Chorus does? I can't seem to figure it out. Same thing with Comp.

Re: Your Effects Pedalboard !!! Pics !!!

a chorus pedal makes a kind of warbly underwater sound, very famously used in Nirvana's "Come As You Are". A Compressor does exactly as it says compresses your signal limiting unwanted noise and making your overall tone tighter and more well compressed sounding.

Thanks. I've been messing around with them on my combo, but couldn't really figure it out.

Here's my setup, just bought an RP500, really nice unit... very happy with it so far but I do miss the drums that were in my RP150. Also gotta have my JamMan digital looper.
