Peterson Strobostomp 2

Man.... I have had this pedal about a year now and yesterday at rehearsal the display started to fade to where I barely see it. Also its buzzing. bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. YAY. $200 for a tuner I cant use and I have a big show on Thursday. I still love the pedal...but when will I learn nifty gadgets get my in trouble.

I looked on the Peterson Forum ( which it takes a long time apparently to get approved for access ) and there are 2 pages of people with the same problem and the moderator on there just emailed them instruction on how to fix it... I really with it was a posted sticky so I could just do it instead of having to wait. DRAT!

maybe its just a loose solderjoint
or something rattling around inside shorting
it out try taking the back off and shaking it out
sometimes little solder drops will get loose

yeah I will try that on monday before rehearsal. There apparently is a fix for it by taking off the cover or something... they are pretty secretive about it and will only send to you in an email apparently.

Did you get your answer? Is it in the forum? I'll log in and check if you'd like. It took me a 'you guys are weak' email to get my account approved. I do love my Stobostomp so far however.

Edit: OIC they e-mail instructions which I guess amount to 'ship it back to us!'

well in one thread, its pretty high up there it looked like they gave some sort of instructions as to take teh cover off for something..... apparently if you post in that thread they will send you a possible fix????

I did post - 'witfits'. If I hear anything from them I'll PM you - since apparently the fix is a state secret!

When I first got my SS2 I had a question and couldn't post for days while waiting on approval.

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MINE!
Just after a year old..............what was the fix?
