NPD 25th December!

I love Christmas, the time we all get a chance to ask for a guitar, pedal, amp, or a jumper.

I got a Way Huge Aqua Puss and an Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress.
I love them both, they're both so warm and perfect!

With the money I've earnt through Christmas, work before Christmas and my Birthday I'm going to get a pedalboard.
Any reccomendations with that?

£100 is what I have.

Re: NPD 25th December!

Ah, yes. The true meaning of Christmas! Well pedals may not be the WHOLE Christmas story, but they do play a nice part sometimes, eh? I hear those are great boxes. As for pedalboards, I don't know how much MF or GC or their ilk charge for shipping out to the Land of "£", but there are some nice ones in their catalogs, depending on what you need. I built my own, and its served me very well for a few years so far, and it was WAY less than £100. It cost around $70, with wood, hardware and finish. But you need tools and a garage. If I knew how to post pictures I would.
There's a good reason that I'm a sailor and not an astronaut.

You can get a used Pedaltrain board for about that.

Above is an original song, "Defeat". (I knew nothing about mixing when I recorded this song... )

Re: NPD 25th December!

My Dad made me a wedge box with velcro on top of it, but whats the point if it has no case? I've seen the Diago pedalboards, and the Boss doesn't seem bad.

If I bought the Boss I wouldn't use the power supply though, as I already have one.

Re: NPD 25th December!

Here is a link for a PedalTrain PT2 with soft case for $100.00 (it is low on the page and the link goes to a store called guitarfiles.com
Though the store is in the U.S., if you have something local that will do a price match you might be able to get that price without the hassle of shipping. I did it with Guitar Center and got the 99.99 price+tax but I am guessing you probably don't have a guitar center where you are.

Good Luck

http://www.theguitarfiles.com/module...oducts_id=2727

BTW I have seen several reviews that say the soft case is better than the standard hard case (not talking about the flight case...it is the best but doubles the price)

Re: NPD 25th December!

I'm a fan of the wedge pedalboard: good stomp angle, easy to hide power supply and wires, easy to install power and Neutrik jacks, etc. Trailer Trash makes nice boards: Trailer Trash Pedal Boards: Custom Pedalboards
Boards are easy to make and cost a fraction of manufactured boards.

You can get a Pedaltrain Jnr soft case for less than £100. Try Andertons Music Company where I just got mine from.

Re: NPD 25th December!

I'm tempted to go for the Stagg UPC500 now, as it's cheap and reliable.

Ehamedy, I've made a wedge box but it's just a platform for pedals to sit on. I have to take all the pedals off and it's not very reliable.

Hector, I'll try to get some pics, but the camera isn't that great and it's hard to upload some photos...

This Electric Mistress is perfect on a clean sound, add a bit of delay and play Beethovens Moonlight Sonata - Heaven.
