Re: What les paul copy do you think is best.

Each guitar manufacturer is different.
There is no "best" Les Paul copy, only variations on a theme.
Consider your budget and then look at the options that are available to you.

Then breath in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out.... etc etc etc
(your heart will beat by itself, so don't worry about that).

Re: What les paul copy do you think is best.

You will always find the word "best" is subjective to who you are asking. I haven't tried all those brands listed. I've tried a few really nice Gibson R9s, that were amazing, and I haven't played any copy that played as nice. That being said, I own a few Epiphones, and I have an Agile Al3000 that I love. Great sounding guitars. Maybe you should describe your situation to us, or give us your ideas on them, or search the other posts.

Mono's right - while the ensuing discussion may be interesting, it's not going to help you much. You pretty much get what you pay for, and beyond that there are SO many variables. What's important in a "copy" to me may not mean jack shit to you, Mono, or Shifty. Now, if you told us what makes a copy "good" to YOU, we could better steer you.

No call for that. Good advice will shut off like a hot water tap with a new washer.

Im not really needing to be steered I was just looking for peoples opinions and for a discussion. And see what the majority says. I feel ya though... gibsons are copies also pretty much. And there are so many different things that are different about them.. I personally like 70s les pauls with the sandwich bodies and the volute. Although the frets were tiny....

I have owned an epiphone with a bigsby before... I didnt really care for the particular one I had but I have played some other epiphones that I like. I had an electra standard awhile back that I wish I never got rid of.... It was awesome... actually had a bookmatched flame top... it did have a maple neck also

Re: What les paul copy do you think is best.

I do like a couple of burny guitars that I have seen. They have a silver glitter custom that I want always on ebay for 600.00 ... Im not too thrilled about dropping that kinda dough and waiting for a guitar from japan.... But at same time I'm in no way going to be able to afford another gibson probably ever..

I think what the others are saying is that if you're just looking to start a discussion on something that has been discussed to death, you're not going to get many serious opinions as they have already been given, and given, and given...

Having enlightened you on that, go buy an Edwards and be done with it. That's my opinion.

Re: What les paul copy do you think is best.

Guitars are individuals, some companies have better quality control than others, but individual pieces of wood are as unique as people. It really depends on the features you are looking for and the amount of money you'd like to spend. You could spend $800 on a used Edwards and get a very capable gigging guitar. You could also spend $1600 on a new Tokai Ls150 and get a very capable gigging guitar. The difference in price comes down to features, finish quality, attention to detail ect...

For me, I find that Edwards offers the best price to performance ratio. That said, my next Les Paul "style" guitar will be a Tokai LS150 as they offer some of the fine details in the finishing aspect that really push a guitar over the top.

Re: What les paul copy do you think is best.

No I haven`t played a Heritage guitar, yet. They used to be cheap a few years ago
(about 1300€). Now they are 1900€ and upwards and if I want to try out a Heritage
guitars then I have to travell to Germany, where they sell them (600km ) or order them
online.

Yeah well maybe if you actually WORKED while you were at work instead of screwing around on a guitar forum you'd get a better job where you could afford a real Gibson...

Just a thought...
