My Edwards....

I know it's not a Gibson, and it should be moved to the "Other Les Pauls" section...but this is the only Les Paul I got and I LOVE IT.

WARNING: REALLY BIG PICS

Re: My Edwards....

I had the ESP Version and played a cpuple of Edwards and they sounded nothing like a real Gibson LP. But this doesn't exclude the fact that the Edwards are great guitars in any way.

It's a E-LP-98LTS/VHB. I have no idea what that means though, lol. I don't know what the finish is called....the pickups are a Seymour Duncans. A 59 PAF thing in the neck and a JB in the bridge.

It's SO much easier to play than my Tele's. I'm an LP man for life now. Too bad Gibsons are retardedly expensive.

Re: My Edwards....

Very very nice 98!!!
Congratulation
Does it have any modifications?
I own 3 Edwards, a JR 85 (upgraded with SD Antiquity and CTS pots) E-LP-112 (upgraded with SD Antiquity, RS Kit) E-LP-130 (upgraded with a Bigsby B7). All three are real beauties on a very high craftsmanship level........and for all 3 you maybe get only one good Gibby!!!

Re: My Edwards....

The VHB suggests it a Vintage honey burst. How does it sound like? A/B'ed it with a Gibson yet?

Re: My Edwards....

I have one as well. As far as playability goes it outshines my Gibson by miles. Soundwise they're different, but in a good way.

I didn't mod it at all. It came stock with the SD's. It's exactly as it came out of the box...

It sounds meh, but I haven't had a chance to bring it to practice yet, where I'll get to crank it through a JCM900 I can't say much for sound, but for playability and weight, I prefer my Edwards over my friend's Gibson LP Custom. The neck on mine feels better, and the Ed isn't as heavy. Plus, mine looks better. Mine has kickass flame, his is just black

Violin Finish is Tokai.

And yes, this should be in the 'Other Les Pauls' section. (Coming from a non-Gibson owner.)

Sweet guitar, nonetheless.

Re: My Edwards....

Nice guitar.
Is the bridge normal? Sorry, I don't know anything about these.
Looks like the bushing is well beneath the cap.

Re: My Edwards....

It's a regular ABR-1 with posts that go directly into the wood. They countersink the top of the post holes when drilling it out for some reason, that's why it may look like it has bushings.
