Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

So what does everyone (if aware!) think about Welcome to Guitarfetish 's Les Paul Style guitars?

Now, for me the specs speak for themself:

Body- Solid Mahogany

Top- 3/4" Thick Solid Maple Wood with Quilted Maple Veneer

Neck- Solid Mahogany with Rosewood Fingerboard

Binding- Real Maple Wood

Purfling- hand Cut genuine Abalone

Fingerboard Radius- 12"

Frets- 22 Medium Jumbo Nickel Silver

Pickups- GFS Crunchy Pat Zebra - (I changed up the pickups and went Stock Neck and EMG HZ Bridge)

**Custom 50s Wiring** **Areoluxe VITQ Caps**

Tuners- Sealed Die Cast 14:1

Scale Length- 24 3/4"

Width at Nut- 1 11/16"

Depth at 1st Fret- 0.8"

Depth at Heel- 1.1"

Seriously, the only thing wrong with this guitar (straight) outta the box, was the truss rod - needed a tweak to stop a fret or two buzzing

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

Nice guitar and i think you got lucky how does it play and did you like the syock pickups I got my zaviere xv599 last week and it had bad wiring and two of the fretts were not pressed down in the neck14 and 15th frett it also had a 1 and half inch scratch under the clear coat so it is in the shop I do anticipate a nice guitar when i get it back

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

I have a XV500 and once I changed out the strings to 11-48s I loved it. It is the one I grab most right now out of my 12 guitars. I got one of the discounted ones for $140. I really like the Crunchy Pats pickups. I also have a Agile 2000 on the way and look forward to seeing it.

I won't diss you on grammer...

but why would anyone buy a NEW guitar and immediately want to change the nut, pots and have a pro work on the frets...

ok, I can see the pots, maybe... a lot of companies use crappy pots. but if I have to work on the frets out of the box... I'm sending it back! that's something QC should catch!

a new guitar should arrive, it might need some set up for perfect intonation and action, but truss should be close, frets should be ready without filing. nut may not be the best, but it should certainly be playable and offer many hours of use. ideally, intonation, action should be real close if there was ANY QC at all... no fret buzz

there should be no hiss either from a bad ground.

maybe I'm living in a dream world...

Actually many musicians including the pros do just what he did. Most guitars do not come to us the way we like them and so need to be set up and upgraded the way we like them.

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

yea, I'm sorry if I was harsh, plus really considering the price of the xaviere, having the guitar finished out by a pro probably makes it a great value in the end.

I would have just hoped a guitar was playable new... at least in the ballpark in most areas.

I hear you. To me it is all about your pride in the product you are making. Set up should be part of it.

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

exactly. I expect a little more from the QC department than to make sure the paint is ok... but really, all things considered, if you pay 230 for a new instrument, and then another 100-200 on a pro setup (fixing frets, wiring, etc) you still got a pretty damn good deal.

and from what I'm reading, it's not just xaviere, it's epiphone, agile, etc... they all need more than just "set the action and go" out of the box...

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

The whole reason i baught the guitar was it had good wood .good pickups and was cheap enough to upgrade and have a great guitar in the 500 dollar range. Was i disapointed in the way it arived yes but as i said i was going to put a bone nut and have the fretts proffesionaly done anyways so i was really only out the rewire. and 50 bucks compaired to 3 weeks wait time what can i say i'm 52 so i aint waiting for nothin'..........Rock On Oh yea any body done anything to that god awful headstock ? i'll send pics of mine when the parts come.

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

really, since you planned for it in advance, I think you got a good deal, and probably ended up with a great instrument. the price on the xaviere is hard to beat for a guitar, even if it needs work... I'm vexed by the XV-599 Quilt Lemondrop Abalone Purfling, Maple Binding Aged Finish... it look gorgeous,

I think I'd want the classic covered pickups(Alnico V), instead of the crunchy zebras... you think they would make that swap before sending it?

Re: Xaviere Les Paul Styled Guitars

Thats the same guitar i got its gorgeus.I think it would be smart to ask for a pup switch it would probably cost more but they also would have to look it over better before shipping.
