edwards les paul

I have my heart set on a les paul for a long time and it has come down to 2 models from edwards. The edwards lp 130 and the edwards lp 132 jimmy page model with super circuit. The reason I picked up a guitar was because of zeppelin but from what I can tell, almost every feature on the 132 accept the pickups and the super circuit seem to be a slight downgrade from the 130 model. Basically I'm torn between the 2 and I'm wondering if the 132 plays as good as the 130. thanks guy

Re: edwards les paul

I have a 112 and a 130, both play very similar, the 112 is a bit heavier!!
But i prefer then 130 (stock), (the components, tailpiece, pot cap etc are) better because you have NOTHING to change

Re: edwards les paul

Don't know how the Page plays personally but the guitar player for The Spasmatics here in Vegas has one and it looks killer.

Re: edwards les paul

I agree with joe, the 130 is the better equipped guitar. Pups are SD Antiquitys, CTS, Alu STP and so on. But if you upgrade the Page Model they will be on the same level.
Both play really good, there isn't much difference.

+everything!
I love my 130 to death... never getting rid of it and all I did was return it to stock.

If you absolutely *must have* the Page mod, get a pair of SD Triple Shots first. Easy peasy to install and they give you the good bits of that mod plus the ability to designate which coil you are splitting to when you do coil-splits.
If you dig it and want to go all out, simply add two push/pulls to bring both pickups OOP and to do series/parallel.
If you absolutely need the 4 push/pulls mod buy it pre-wired... that thing is a PITA to wire up.

Re: edwards les paul

I've looked at both of these pretty hard. Now, this isn't the most important thing in a guitar I realize, but, if you're wanting that Page look, does the 130 offer the color of Page's #1?

Re: edwards les paul

I'd like an EDWARDS 130 to pair with my Epiphone Elite Tak Matsumoto Signature LP.

Our Family name is Edwards and I know it would blow my grandsons away to see our name on the headstock....Their dads would just sit shaking their heads thinking......He's spun out again:-)

This one may be a special order. I would suggest buying it. No, I'm not here to help you control your GAS much, am I?
