Mysterious Japan ...

Just to share my experiences in buying from Japan with you ...

I've spotted a nice Bacchus BLP59 with correct headstock at a Japanese site for used guitars ... and decided to purchase this wonderful guitar ...
I gave them an email and asked very politely if they'd sell overseas ... a procedure which is essential if you want to buy there ...
...
They answered very fast - over night (Europe) I got that email which I don't want to keep back from you ...

Quote:
Thanks for mail

Contact has already selling my products

There is a time difference of view

Sorry
OK ... I've thought that I have to accept my fate - I wasn't as quick as my competitor somewhere in the world ...
But - I went to the website and ... saw the guitar still being offered - and it still is 3 minutes ago - no clue saying 'HOLD' or something else ...

That's Japan ... instead of telling me that they don't want to sell that guitar to a 'gaijin', a 'long-nosed' foreigner, they prefer lying about the true background of their decisions ...
... a weak performance IMO ... and I'm annoyed now that they're taking me for a ride ...

Don't know exactly if I understand you well ...

You seem to have had a very hard night last night ...
It’s very easy to diagnose someone who I don’t know with mental malfunctions … a very popular form of bashing and discrediting someone … widespread as I could find out now …

Re: Mysterious Japan ...

Japanese hate saying "no".

Its a cultural thing.

Its a funny inversion of being polite.

There are some guys in Japan who buy on ur behalf for a flat fee. I helped get an Orville by Gibson reissue for a friend through one such person. Good service. Good communication.

Relationships are the key.

YES, I know - but it's hard to become familiar to that kind of politeness ...
You can't imagine how many emails I'd sent already with some queries about guitars during the last 3 years ...

I wish I had a good friend over there ... my only one from Asia is a Taiwanese guy ... but that doesn't help actually in this case ...
BTW - until today I refused to register at Rinkya's ... it's focussed on Japanese Yahoo auctions ...
