Super sweet!! Love the matte finish and the zebra pups. No PG on that one looks just right.

Damnit! Now I have to find one of those in the US.

Re: My 1st MIJ

Thats tidy mate!

Im not a fan of matte finish but that is really tidy for a 2003, nearly unplayed?

Also the HS is interesting...

Cheers Lads
If there is one thing I might alter it would be that I think the inlays are a touch "too white" for my tatste and I may end up staining them a little just to add some "age"

I dunno mate, that might be a slippery path.
Considering how "clean" the guitar looks at the moment, I think aged fret inlays would look out of place and encourage you to start checking or aging the finish to make it look right.

Give it a while before you start doing things to it. If it plays, then that's over 95% of it's functionality intact, right?

Also, did you get that from Richtone? eBay?
I just think it's a good price. PM me if not comfortable discussing it here.

Re: My 1st MIJ

No Mono I didn't get it from RTM.
I sourced it from a friend on another Forum that has a guitar shop in Castleford Yorkshire (Vision Guitars) top lad and a pleasure to do business with. The guitar is 2nd hand and was traded for a Strat, but has barely a mark on it, apart from a small ding on the front, the back is very nearly pristine, like someone said early it looks like has been hardly played

Re: My 1st MIJ

I have a 2003 Burny RLG-90, also made by Tokai. There pretty much the same guitar. It's a great playing guitar. I love Tokais or Burny's!

Very attractive looking guitar I can't say much for the price, but it certainly looks like it was worth every penny.

Re: My 1st MIJ

Thanks for all the kind words guys
I have finally managed to have a look inside the neck pickup cavity on this guitar and what I found has left me a wee bit confused.
Everything looks OK to me exccept the lack of model number ?? Anybody recognise whats in its place and its relevance . If so I am eager to
know what it stands for good or bad

Re: My 1st MIJ

Check in the bridge pickup cavity for the model number. MVF scribbled on the butt of the neck will probably mean Matte Violin Finish.

Re: My 1st MIJ

Hi JIM'SgoldTOP
This guitar was sold to me as a LS95F Matte but the finish does have some sheen and could be a satin finish ?? Either way I originaly wanted add some more sheen, but it's growing on me as it is so I am leaving as is for now

Re: My 1st MIJ

She sounds pretty good to me through my Matamp First Lady, creamy but with loads of bottom end as well. I am a bedroom noodler, but a mate had a play today who is a good guitarist and it sounded REALLY good in his hands

Relax mate, it's genuine! Can you tell me the serial number so that we can confirm the year of manufacture?
