the pickups work especially well in this guitar, they match perfectly. I have a Dr. V in the neck that is a typical low gain PAF sound and really captures the clean, articulate sounds of a good replica. The marshallhead bridge is a little hotter and the two pair up very well. Actually the builder was quite shocked when he checked the guitar out prior to shipping. He made a point to comment on the pups.

I search the internet all the time looking for a guitar that looks just like yours -- that top, the mineral streaking, the look of YOUR guitar. I bet you are one happy camper!

If I owned it, I don't know if I'd play it or just stare at it.

You sure that is a Brazzy board as it looks rather light & the graining ?
I suggest darking the board with bore oil or Old english ( dark)

yeah it's brazzy, I got this from Tom Bartlett, he assured me it was brazzy and showed me a few different boards that were all very different in appearance. I have had other brazilian guitars with the more traditional darker, grainy wood and it does look different, but brazzy varies so much. But when I did some searches alot of samples like this came up. I don't want it to darker yet, it actually looks stunning with the burst finish.

Here's a pretty cool page with lots of different samples of braz RW. It's incredibly diverse in appearance and grain.

thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. The funny thing is that the top has a distinguishing feature on it that I think may have been considered a fault to others. I actually found it very cool and unique and preferred it. It looks like a scar

Here is a pic pre-finish, you can see it by the lower bout. I really like that mark for some reason.
