Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

Here's my 2007 Edwards E-LP-98 LTS in Vintage Honeyburst. Nice fat neck, superbly crafted and plays like a dream. I plan on a pot change; can't deal with the crazy rolloff with the stock pots. I'll be putting on Historic pointers at that time as well.

Here's a group shot. The Edwards and the Tokai LP Special are on their way to new owners. Got the 335 clone from my friend buckwild! All are really good:

My 1977 Greco Les Paul Standard. EMG 81 and 89, Tone pros bridge. This is my main guitar, and it is amazing. Don't care that much for the dark green color, but this guitar ROCKS.

Yeah, I love my 77 Gibson LP Custom.... but the Greco plays and sounds just a little bit better. And it weighs less to. And the Greco with the all mahogany body is a bit warmer.

Yes it is. Very nice bridge, although I had to MOD it a bit. I cut grooves in the back area to help ad string tension across the saddles.

Thanks, hank. I haven't seen another Epi with a similar burst, so I think I lucked out with this one. Here's a new full shot:

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

This is my ´78 Greco Les Paul Custom ... It has a chambered body... and all original parts... GOTOH humbuckers, I think... except for the humbucker switch tip... and knobs... everything else is original, tuning machines and pickups. I have 4 more but I will have to work reducing the pictures size so I can attach them here...

see ya

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

thanks Hank,

well, my epi was first dressed with duncan APH1's which where quite nice pups,
but i'm more like a vintage "PAF" tone guy, so they needed to go ...
leosound '59buckers were on my mind shortly after, because they were handwound
pickups with more reasonable pricetags, so finally i decided to get a pair and try 'em
before hang 'em LOL and finally found out that they're all right!

geetar itself has a lacquer finish, long tenon neckjoint, nice 50s style grip etc.
colour is very similar to rickym's epi as seen here... i would say honeyburst or teaburst ..
anyway it doesn't matter because it looks nice on daylight as well as inda~house light LOL

it was a bargain priced second hand axe when i bought it two years ago ... so no complains!

Cheers

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

This one I believe is a ´83 Tokai, it is a "Custom" model. This one is a solid body, all mahogany, I believe. All hardware is aluminum, Gotoh brand, with the exception of tuning machines, which are GROVER, I believe. The pickups are Dimarzio's BluesBuckers.

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

This one is a "Randy Rhoads" model, hehe... it looks a lot like Randyīs guitar... Itīs a Cream colored Burny, I believe from 1984... itīs completely original. Its pickups produce a very distinctive sound... letīs say they have that "brown" characteristic... Just like VH! hehe
