Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

Here's mine, it doesn't compare to any of the excellent guitars I've seen so far, but I may aswell post it. From what I know this is MIJ..but it is also unnamed.

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

Here's my Navigator les paul. No serial number, with dimarzio's which I think are original. The guy I bought it from in Germany told me he had purchased it at the offical ESB booth at a music trade show in Germany in 1982 or 1983, probably musikmesse or something. Anyways, this guitar is totally awesome besides the blue top, plays like a dream.

Hey Sas,

if you ever feel the need to sell this beauty please keep me on the short list!! I'd buy that in a hearbeat.

Are you sure its an 05 LS-150 though? I only ask because my 05 is an LS-150 and is obviously a flame top, whereas yours seems to be a plain top with a peek-a-boo flame. Just curious.

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

Its 100% a 2005 ls150 some of them have lighter flames, but in the right light this flametop is stunnig too.

Make me an offer i cant refuse, but i have to say that this guitar is the best soundig one ive ever had.

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

This is my 'new' Orville Les Paul Junior DC ´58-reissue cherry MIJ 1995:

It´s a '1995-to-1958-conversion'. The finish is reliced, just like all the nickel-hardware (Faber alu-wraparound, skrews, tuners and also the strap-pins). I also installed US 500 kOhm-pots and a german 'Tube Amp Doctor'-PIO-cap, ´50s-wired. The guitar sounds awesome! From biting, twangy Tele-Sounds to dark, growling thunder!!
Some more pics in the 'Show your Orville...'-thread.
Here is the updated collection-pic:

I DON´T SELL GUITARS! I´m a MIJ-Les Paul-Junkie, always looking for some 'new' stuff!
What do ya think I 'need' next?

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

Hey qwank,
you´re right!! A 'cream-vanilla'-coloured LP Custom with nicly tarnished gold-hardware is a great idea. A Greco EG-600 or similar models by Burny, Orville b.G. / Orville...

Meanwhile a visitor came along. A ´56 LP Goldtop (obviously a Burny, there is NO HAEDSTOCK-LOGO on it!!) from my buddy Oli. A brutal Rock´n Roll-Machine with massive & mean P-90 -Tone! (on the Pic right front)
The Edwards ´56 Goldtop on the left is now equipped with a set of custom-wound 'DAVID BARFUSS' ´52-reissue P-90s. This Pickup-Specialist from Germany is making fantastic Humbuckers and Single-coils, available as matched sets or special custom-order. Really superb sounding Pickups!

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

C´mon quank! 2 weeks? ...but, where the hell is my credit-card???
O.K., it´ll take a few days longer...

Hey joebonsai! A few smart germans here! You´re an Edwards-collector? Your Junior DC TV-yellow seems to be one of the factory-reliced models, right? I looked for one a long time, but no chance at all.
The Orville LP Junior is a true bargain from Japan. Excellent quality! The orig.P-90 is a versatile allrounder. Don´t need to change him. The guitar is perfect now!
A Singlecut Special is also a great idea! I think Burny made some. Maybe not easy to find...

Re: Show US your MIJ Les Pauls

No it's not the reliced, it's lacquer taste series, the reliced is like Keith Richards' Dice with Badass bridge.
Maybe you think it's reliced for PU-damage,but the pickup a Duncan Antiquity is a bit near to the strings or I hit the strings too hard!!
It's my fourth Edwards I had a 335 copy, but it's tooooo big for me!!I'm searching for the Edwards E-LS-90 LT, Les Paul special in TV yellow, but it's like my DC discontinued, so it's a long search!!!
