Interesting Trade Offer...

i just got an offer t trade my 1977 Yamaha SA2000 for a 1997 Orville Les Paul Custom. i just got the yamaha but i havent been playing it really and id really love new lester. how are the later orvilles? the serial number is ink stamped 701070. it has gibson pots and a 57 classic in the neck and a burstbucker 3 in the bridge but i get te original pickups aswell.

Get Picks, Long Neck Tenon, Fuji or Tereda? Serial looks Fuji
I'd say take it if it has the long neck tenon as well

I'm not sure how much the Orville's go for. A typical Burny LP Custom goes for $400-$600 US.
I understand the Orville's are worth more though, so that may not be a fair comparison. I know you were asking a grand for your Yamaha since I saw your other post too.
Might be a fun trade since you are not playing the Yamaha and have an interest in Les Pauls. I only hear good things about the Orville's.

Tough call. Those vintage Yamaha's really sound GREAT. I had an old acoustic from the 70's that kills any Martin I've ever played.

it is a beautiful guitar but i just dont play it and would like a sunburst back up for my les.
