The Official Xaviere Guitar Thread!

Alright alright, I'm noticing more and more people with Xaviere guitars (mostly the XV-500 and XV-700s) on these forums, so, I figured it would be cool to get them all in one place, so to speak! Can I even make an official thread? I hope so!

Either way, here's an excuse for all you Xaviere owners to post pictures of your awesome guitars, so we can get them all in one place! I'll go first, I guess!

Here's my Xaviere XV-500, in Amber Sunrise, that I ordered just over a year ago. So far, in terms of modifications, I've changed the tuners, the knobs, the pup rings (from black, originally), installed a roller bridge, added a pickguard, swapped out the stock pups for GFS Vintage '59 chrome covered pickups (I had a GFS retrotron in the bridge, before), added a coil tap for the neck pickup, changed the input jack, and probably a bunch of other stuff I can't even remember. Sounds great, looks good, I'm happy!

I've put enough money into this thing, but only because it's really a great guitar. The overall feel, finish, and construction, to me, is worth a lot more than what I payed for it originally, and, I figured it deserved the mods. I'm not going to compare it to anything ten times its price, but, I've played quite a few import guitars, and, these are some of the best, for those on a budget!

So, let's see 'em! Post your Xavieres, guys!

Heheheheh.....yeah. I suppose they do to some.

I wish they made 'em lefthanded...that's the biggest nag with this guitar line. Otherwise, it looks like they've got some nice guitars there and at a ridiculously low price to boot.

Re: The Official Xaviere Guitar Thread!

The guitar in my first post is a Rally GL300 made by Daewon musical instruments, a Korean company that build in China. The lower horn and the body shape of this guitar is identical to the Xaviere... I would bet that these guitars come from the same factory. Rally also make plenty of lefties.

Re: The Official Xaviere Guitar Thread!

Ok, the code is now not working. Good things never last forever. Have a seafoam green tele from these guys, thinline. Nice axe, had to replace the pots and do a setup. Same with most guitars. Got a nice 700 LP silver sparkler. Lp rocks, tele is nice, maple neck...p-90's.
Some nice hollowbodys on the site. I buy one of them before a MIC Artcore.
These's some decent stuff off the Rondo site also.

Re: The Official Xaviere Guitar Thread!

Just tried the code and yep, it didn't work today, but I think i read some where it comes back up now and than, so if you ever order from there you can try it, it is a naughty 4 letter word that ryhmes with duck.

Re: The Official Xaviere Guitar Thread!

Here's me playing my XV-500 on Youtube, for videos, using the neck pickup (stock)

As for sound clips, click on the myspace link in my signature. All the guitar that you hear that isn't single coil, fendery stuff, is done with the Xaviere.

EDIT: Sentry already posted my video, but whatever

Thanks! I'm relatively new to the guitar (a few years of messing around, but only serious for about a year and a half), but it's always cool to hear you're doing something right! As for the Xavieres, you're right, great sounding guitars (the two I've got) with good pickups

Definitely! You won't grow out of it say as quickly as a cheaper made guitar, either, but I DO recommend you bringing it in to get a complete set up (usually under $50) when you buy it. Great materials and hardware, but most every guitar could use a setup, especially at this price point
