NGD Jimmy Page Edwards E LP-112 LTS/RE super circuit

got this about 2 weeks back but there was some fret buzzing so I had to take it in and get a few of the frets leveled out....I know a lot of people here are do it yourselfers...but I am just not at that level. So today is the first day it's been back home since I first got it, and then had to take it in....It's staying here now...so it's NGD for me/

This guitar is a great player and probably feels the most "wood" of any guitar I have especially on the back of the neck (meaning it's not so lacquered that you feel like you can't really feel the wood itself)....the relicing is well done and it really does feel like you are playing a guitar that's been around for 30 or 40 years...so props to them for aging the thing well and it's just super fun to play.

The night I got it even with the frets buzzing at the 7th, and 13th frets pretty bad...I found myself going back and again and again to play it....at night I'd been playing unplugged just to keep the noise down (and Edwards are great for that because even unplugged they are very resonant guitars) but I also just picked up a POD HD500 and then a VHT amp....so my nights now will be more headphones and that gear.

The super circuit pick ups are super cool and I think sound great and give you a lot of cool options and different tones/...a good friend said "you'll never use them" but I actually found it really fun, and I have been using them a lot working out some new settings....I am interested in experimenting with a lot of new sounds...and not just turning everything up to 10 all the time..which was how I always used to play.

it's a fairly light guitar...coming in at around 7.7 pounds.

I wanted to say too....I've only been on this site for maybe 3 months...I've picked up two guitars since then and come here every night just about for around an hour and read everyone's posts...I've learned a LOT about these guitars, your collections, and I am really happy to be a member here although I don't really know many of you yet...well actually..I don't know anyone

seriously considering switching brands after this Edwards for the time being just to check out some other non Gibson Les Pauls.

This is a great guitar...it cost about $1100 (USD) which I felt was fair...I spent about $80 on shipping...fret leveling tacked on a bit more...but I was so curious about this guitar I had to try it.

glad I did.

will do some sound demos once I get a sound recording program which I hope to get early next week.

I was going to add. The luthier who worked on the guitar actually said several times on the phone and in person when I picked it up..."that is a really nice guitar"

so you know besides a lot of people here who will say good things about the Edwards brand he's an ex-Taylor luthier who'd never heard of the brand and he was very impressed with the guitar.

noice! Is it a solid top or veneer?

Either way it is pretty.

I am almost positive it's a veneer....I know there are people here who are far more of an authority on the stuff...everything I've learned about these is more second hand reading threads about them here and elsewhere online...and there's some misinformation that you get with that.

that is a lovely guitar. i always wanted an Edwards, but over here in the UK they're either tricky to get hold of, or overpriced. totally jealous of yours though

I don't know if I've seen a nice high res copy of this...so I wanted to add it up.

Hopefully for anyone interested in this model of Edwards....it's cool to see and can help you down the line make a decision if you ever want to get one of these....from what I've seen online not all have this option.

ah thanks...no need to be jealous. I am sure some nice people here can hook you up at some point...if this is the exact model you want. I got this off ebay (U.S.) it was used but it's in excellent shape and since it's reliced already...it's a little tough to tell what was original and what might have been a real ding/

I was NOT a fan of reliced guitars originally...but I'd say now that I have one...it's nice to not worry so much about banging it up...I am really careful with my guitars...but with that said..I buy them to play and you know having it a little chewed up right out of the gate and really well worked in....it's like getting a used guitar of some 30+ years that is new...if that makes sense.

trust me...when I joined up here...I had GAS so bad...it was unreal....I was drooling at so many guitars and threads...I've had a good year and was able to treat myself to some new gear.

I've got a quarter jar right now I am filling...and when it gets to the top...I am buying another guitar!

Nice score, I love my 112-RE super circuit, the light weight and resonance, and the tops on these look really good and the distressing of the finish etc. looks great. I have however considering changing out the super circuit wiring for a more conventional LP set up with CTS pots, Vitamin Q's, switchcraft , and braided wiring. I have a feeling that the guitar will take on a whole new dimension then.

Well, I have an E-LP-92 and I'm also extremely happy with it. Especially after changing the Electronics, pups with antiquities and having the saddles filed. Great guitar out of the box, amazing guitar after some care. And my luthier said exactly the same thing as yours.

I play it more than my R8. Being cheaper, non-nitro and equally fun.

Nice flame on this one. Some are not so good. I've wanted one for a long time and even after I found my Page I still want to get one and shaventhe neck to match my Gibby Page. The relic jobs are pretty good. I'll get one some day. Maybe when you selle yours!

He was still touring with it about 15 years ago.

last few pics of my guitar.

I started looking at Edwards about 6 months back...I had this dream of getting a mini home studio together...with a nice small amp, a good effects rack, and a couple of nice guitars...it's not much but I pretty much made this first small goal happen.







I felt like the Tobacco Burst (Edwards 98LTS) colors weren't really showing up on these pics...so here's one were you can really see how nice the coloring is.
