Help - Burny RSG-55, or Gibson Faded?

i'm re-entering SG town - re-re-re-re-re-re-entering, if we're being accurate - and just can't decide. it'd be a second hand 2008/9 gibson special faded - pros are... well... it's a gibson, i guess.

I've no experience with the RLG/RSG series burnys though. I hear it's a fairly thin poly finish? is it clearly a better guitar than, say, an epiphone G400?

be nice, these are serious questions. And i have no capability of playing any/either of them before i buy them.
