You must come across a few of the older Tokais around Tokyo Harold? What happened with the 150 you played last week, too expensive?

I've seen a couple of LS-150, LS-120s and LS-80s over the last few years. They don't stay around for too long here though. For that particular LS-150 I have been waiting for a price since last Sunday but guitars I saw 3 weeks ago just got listed for sale now. They get lots of guitars there but it might be gone already I guess.

Yes, that is it. Just got the call last night and picked it up today. So far I am very impressed. Nice fat frets on these and a huge neck.
I think there are a few cherrybursts out there including one from Yamauchi's collection.

Yeah it is an awesome Strat...not in the catalogues but I suspect a 1200 for the time as all the other oil/lacquer finished Grecos were 1200's

Tossed a quilted maple neck on it with an ebony board as I am not a fan of the Greco neck it came with.
Now it has that SVR vibe to it

On an old crappy MIJ strat that has an MDF body lol.
Sold the body for what the guitar cost me, kept the neck

I thought it was dirty rosewood until I scraped it 2 days ago...realized it is ebony.
There must have been a stockpile of Macassar ebony in the 70's as the Gallan Firebird I have has really nice Macassar ebony on it as well and it was a budget guitar at the time.

I will be refinishing it this weekend in some aged nitro

Hell No!
I LOVE this finish and have tried to win one of these for 4 years..they always go up too high on the bids for me...this flew under the radar for a good price...with a hard case but I left that behind to save $$ on shipping.
Got a free Fernandes strap and super old school cool guitar cable with it however.
That and the Greco order made booklet that it came with new

It will be a partial partscaster however due to the neck swap
