It is a nice colour. It weighs in at 7.6lbs. Research I've done tells me it's an 1999 Standard which is made from popular.

Any opinions on that type of wood for a strat? What's the going rate on these ?

Looks to me like a two piece body, lacquer and v neck.

Electronics and pups don't look original though.

yeah 4 digit relates to a '54-56 strat copy OR they banged on a fake fender neck plate to match the headstock

read some shit once st-60s are alder & a '58 strat copy
80s are ash & a '54 copy
final spec saddles something about the date
but it's definitely a tokai strat

but i could be wrong

it's all memory from looking at the fernandes fst-60
